@Realkeithmason You were NOT the only candidate who went out knocking on doors in Wakefield and Rothwell Mr Mason. I was Agent for the Labour candidate Simon Lightwood who was out almost every day, normally for two or three sessions each day.

What I’ve learned in a short space of time is that wannabe politicians or politicians is that thier talk the good talk! But thier don’t walk the walk. Actions speak louder than words. We turn a blind eye to what’s really going on, and you all know what’s going on. I ran for MP of Wakefield & Rothwell last July and I got just under a thousand votes with no experience in the political world, me and my partner knocked on upto a thousand doors and spoke with the locals, and listened to them and what changes thier wanted for Wakefield & Rothwell. I was the only candidate that actually knocked on doors and spoke to residents. I’m a doer not a talker. Maybe I’ll run for MP/Prime minister one day and walk the walk not just talk the talk. That’s what Great Britain needs a man of the people not a puppet.

@kelvmackenzie Only 20-30% of Council income is Council Tax. The rest is from Fees & Charges, Business Rates and some Government Grants, so you are looking at 5-7% of overall budgets. Some Tory and Liberal Councils are also in recovery plans because they under-paid in the past.
