@DavidRCrowe @smithmarion @PrisonPlanet No definitely not. I don't think we should take down all the statues of every historical figure that ever existed because morality has changed over time, that's asinine. Can't we advocate for some statues to be taken down though without advocating all of them?

@smithmarion @PrisonPlanet Imagine thinking that wanting to take down statues put up explicitly to intimidate black people during the civil rights movement is equivalent to Mao's cultural revolution.

@DavidRCrowe @nenshi No thanks. I am very informed and know people affected/who’ve had the virus.

@scampycaaz @GlobalNational It would be fine to put up more detailed plaques with more rounded information. But no historical figure was perfect by modern standards.

@GlobalNational That's Sir John A MacDonald to you This flawed human being was largely responsible, w sheer will & determination, for the creation of the 🇨🇦 we know/love He was a product of his era & mustn't be vilified for simply doing what he (+many others) felt was acceptable at the time

John A. Macdonald has become a contentious and controversial historical figure, given his role in establishing colonial systems, including residential schools. trib.al/WKIMA2a

@hart_janie @nenshi Then you are the first person in th world to see the virus. You should listen to my interview with top world RT-PCR expert Stephen Bustin to understand why tests can't reliably detect the virus

@DavidRCrowe @nenshi Your city? A virus that doesn’t exist? Oh man, first, move somewhere else, and second, inform yourself. And next, you can explain what everyone is sick and/or dying from then. I’ll wait.

@fairplaywomen Cancel culture needs to be cancelled. So often the cancellers have a cupboard full of skeletons far scarier than the imaginary thought crime of the cancelled.

@HJoyceGender It has to be artificially implanted as there are no ovaries, and how long would it stay viable inside a foreign body? I can seeing this being a disaster for the first volunteers

@5G_Corona @brothrstrawbrry The crimes of those wars were planned by higher echelons, the soldiers were victims of a brutalizing system, even their war crimes need to be seen through this lens. They were not rebels against their own country.

@5G_Corona This is the right way to change things. As opposed to tearing down statues etc.

@Doggeddetermin2 That is a completely irrelevant experiment. Of course it works like that. But the fact you can sneeze on an agar plate and grow bacteria has nothing to do with human to human virus transmission

@DavidRCrowe this is some simple research. These bacteria could easily be the virus. Having vulnerable relatives , I think that wearing masks in public could help protect them , at least indirectly. Whether you believe in it or not , I hope that it will protect you as well.

What does a mask do? Blocks respiratory droplets coming from your mouth and throat. Two simple demos: First, I sneezed, sang, talked & coughed toward an agar culture plate with or without a mask. Bacteria colonies show where droplets landed. A mask blocks virtually all of them.

@Doggeddetermin2 @JyotiGondek @DruhFarrell I don't want people wearing a mask for me. There is so little evidence it is transmitted without lengthy contact. I'm basing this on the science, not my feelings. It is just interesting that I directly experienced harms.

@DavidRCrowe @JyotiGondek @DruhFarrell And they should be accommodated. You are the reason the rest of the world should be wearing a mask. You have enough to deal with without the added complication of the virus, that is why I believe those who can wear a mask, should. I hope your battle goes well for you.

1/Overheard from the jackass in front of me in line at #stonebowlcalgary: Dude: I’m in from Vancouver where the party started a month ago. All these masks you’re wearing in Calgary are dumb. Like, unless you’re a doctor. Staff (wearing mask): *silently hands him order*
