Question for my #screenwriting community. For those of us who have zero interest in making short form or vertical content creation, what is the path forward? I write premium drama, which is difficult if not impossible to create without funding. I know many of you will tell me that I need to get on board with these new mediums, but it’s not for me. But the gatekeepers are tougher the ever to get past and I feel adrift. Welcome your thoughts.

people aren’t understanding what was problematic about this sketch. the line “i should be forgiven if not celebrated” (paraphrasing) left alone without negating the premise of the sketch in any way IS harmful when we have so many people who clearly do misunderstand tourettes

@ashleypaddila Whether consciously or not, the sketch dilutes the condition and of those who *actually* have it, which is especially unhelpful given how few people knew anything about it two weeks ago. Now it's fodder for jokes. Strong argument for SNL to hire disabled writers/cast someday.

@MrGChristopher Plenty of disabled ppl (myself included) recognize the harm of the word Davidson shouted, believe an apology is warranted, AND that folks like Jamie Foxx, Charlemagne the God, SNL, and Deon Cole shouldn't be spreading misinformation/assigning harmful intent/diminishing disability

@FinalDude78 The 'grand conspiracy' alien stuff doesn't really pay off, but for me it's one of the most rewatchable series ever because of the chemistry of the leads and the creativity of the 'monster-of-the-week' episodes. I go back to those all the time.
