@DavidStillson @openclaw Hi David do you partner with a wholesaler to get your totes at a good price? If so can you point me in the right direction?

Today Nikki asked me to update the Totes on Loan website. She wanted me to add some FAQ items to the booking page. My response was, "Your @openclaw agent Evelyn can do that for you." "Really?" she asked. "Yep, I set her up with an MCP connection so you can just tell her to update parts of the site and she can make the changes" Not only does Nikki not have to log in to the dashboard and change anything within the CMS, which she can still obviously do, but now she can just tell her agent to make updates on our website and they just happen. Oh, and Evelyn is also publishing blog posts now :-)

So our workflow is somewhat fluid, but generally what happens is we take pictures while we're out doing business, delivering totes, setting up RV's, etc. We dump them into a chat (Slack) with our agent. She analyzes the images, renames and categorizes them in Dropbox, and then, based on the content of the images and the context we've given her based on a loose chat, she builds out a content schedule. Then she proceeds to schedule the posts via HighLevel. Another agent will pick up on some of this context in our Notion space and will start to come up with more long-form blog content using the imagery and social media post cues. So the social media agent's job is to keep consistently posting relevant content about what we're up to. The blog posts agent job is to derive SEO-rich content along the same vein that keeps our blog up to date and our website fresh. The blog agent is also researching relevant festivals and events for our RV rental business and coming up with a yearly content pillar schedule to start blog posts around seasons and recurring events. I have other agents that are doing research on AI tools and things people are building, and formulates script ideas for me to talk about on my YouTube channel. These are just a couple examples. The only faceless content thing I'm doing is more of an experiment where I've unleashed one of my agents as a content maker here on X, and he also has his own newsletter. @WalterAtTheLab

Do people actually make money with OpenClaw? 💵💰 and by that I mean not by selling courses or deploys but that it actually build something useful?

We use the 27" x 17" x 12" totes, as they are sort of the standard size for the industry. Realtors pay monthly for 20-totes rental packages, either 2 or 5 per month at $60/package (a $99 value). So they get a steep discount and we get the recurring revenue. Our rental agreement has a $25 fee to replace a damaged tote, although, so far we haven't had to invoke that. Everyone has been stellar renters 🤞

@DavidStillson @mhp_guy Hi David, I’m in the middle of the podcast and wondered if you would share what size tote you use and if you would mind providing an economic break down of how you work with realtors. Also, how do you handle damaged boxes? Thank you!

@Jeffgeee1 @mhp_guy Yep, low upfront risk, you can grow and scale it organically as you make money. The mote for this business is awareness. So you’ll have to either spend on ads or get out in person and network

@DavidStillson @mhp_guy I really appreciate the breakdown. It’s helps better understand the fundamentals and if it’s worth giving it a try. I really like your low cost upfront approach

Tote cost breaks down to about $16/piece for a pallet of 100. we rent them from $5/2-weeks down to ~$4/2-weeks. so they pay themselves off after the 3rd rental. Very low effort from dropoff and pickup.. 8 mins with the client on both ends plus drive time. We're building in some cost for cleaning and sanitizing totes after each use. The dollies are $60/each. We started with 5 of them. so for under $2K, you'd have enough inventory to start, then start funneling cash into more inventory. We're only a couple months into it in the slow season, averaging around $1-3k per month. Suppliers we use are Farmplast and Reliable Transport Packaging.

@DavidStillson @mhp_guy @DavidStillson I’ve listened to the entire episode. I really enjoyed the tote rental business idea. I missed any details regarding where you purchase the totes and the economics of it. Are you willing to share any of that?
