Just an average Aussie that values free speech. Pushing back against government censorship laws that promotes Government policy as the only source of truth.

@RigoIrizarry Glad the gay community is starting to call this out.

No one has to go along with this weird shit!
This post is not going to sit well with the LGBTQ+ community, but it needs to be said and it needs to be said by someone like me. ♥️♥️♥️

This coffee was $8 in 2019. Now it’s pushing $16. That’s not “normal inflation.” That’s a weaker dollar, higher energy costs, broken supply chains and policy failure all hitting your grocery bill at the same time. You don’t need a chart, you can see how bad our government is every time you visit Coles.

@wonderparlour If you can’t see ninjas in Japan
They’re doing their jobs
English

once asked a British friend who works as an English teacher, while showing them our staff,
“If you go to Britain, are there still people like this there?”
They immediately said,
“No! Absolutely nowhere!”
That was the moment my dream was destroyed.
I remember thinking, “So this is probably how foreigners feel when they find out there aren’t actually ninjas in Japan.”

I'll never forget how the Israelis bombed al-Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza in October 2023 and the world was shocked and horrified. Israel denied it, saying they would never commit such a heinous crime.
Then they went on to bomb every single hospital in Gaza.
Now they are doing the same in Lebanon and Iran. The Israelis have bombed at least 128 medical facilities and ambulances across south Lebanon. In Iran, the US and Israel have bombed 25 hospitals and medical centres.
In Lebanon, they are committing double tap strikes to kill medics and rescue workers, just as they did in Gaza. Medics are forced to delay their responses.
These monsters are normalizing war crimes that were once unthinkable.

I simply cannot believe that @AlboMP would consider cutting excise to lower the cost of petrol. Inflation time bomb and it would destroy the price signal that forces more prudent use of diesel and patrol under international supply threat.

@ValcorOmega @stefanprit @klara_sjo google AI gave this as a meaning of what the kids said in Vietnamese
"Oh, so how about that?"
"Oh, so what are you going to do about it?"
"So what now?"
English

the story isnt that deep either
apparently two Vietnamese kids were having an argument and that got mixed , which led to À Thế Làm Sao by DJ Long Nhat which then took off on Chinese ticktock with remixes and covers
it just has a catchy hook and translation has morphed between dialects
I haven't found exact translation yet but its suggested the kids say, Oh yeah! when? so how? go one then!
the Nadia hook is a random person calling out the name
the song lyrics vary by version from cute to crude
as some of the phrasing is nonsense across dialects a true translation is difficult to find and that is the challenge if you dive into the Dang Dang Gang hole

Most Americans wouldn’t recognize a coup even if a foreign government bought the Congress and the major media, ran an intelligence agency driven blackmail scheme compromising top officials, pushed us into a war that isn’t ours, and had politicians lining up to pledge loyalty abroad; flying over for photo ops to kiss walls while neglecting their own people.
Good thing nothing like that is happening.

@Lochness4000 @JCIV63 @Ben_Davison1 true
Although both parties are complicit in this,
Labor did nothing to reverse the decisions regarding refinery closures announced when Labor was in government that then closed when liberals in government and the liberals were the same
English

@JCIV63 @Ben_Davison1 Actually, the majority of the oil refineries were closed down when the LNP were at the helm.
English

I hadn’t seen any closed petrol stations, any “long lines” or any cars out of fuel on the side of the road
There’s a lot of hyperbole & hate being thrown around but the reality is that most of Australia’s oil DOESN’T come through Hormuz & we have solid supply agreements
