I think the developments over the weekend are really bad. Two additional months in the war and the closure of the Strait of Hormuz could trigger a global economic crisis. I don’t think we’ll see the S&P 500 back in the 6000 range for months, maybe even years. I still can’t believe Trump would allow thousands of U.S. soldiers to die in a war with Iran, but at this point it feels like he’s lost his mind. His recent speeches say it all, he seems capable of anything now. If there isn’t a peace deal soon, I think we’re heading into a nasty bear market. The market feels like it’s at a top right now, not near a bottom. The U.S. may have just crashed the global economy over a meaningless war.

@traderhc Thanks for the breakdown. Finished up 16% in march, while just taking intraday scalps with heavy weight and tight risk management. Not terrible for a newer day trader in this wild month.

Scalping the LTF bounces is the right play here . just know the structure you're operating in. Dealers are sitting in positive gamma right now, which means they're absorbing moves in both directions. That's your friend on the scalp . it keeps things mean-reverting and range-bound. But it also means the real move doesn't come until something breaks the structure. $VIX at 31 in backwardation with VVIX at 31.10 . the vol surface is pricing in that something snaps soon. As long as you're sizing light and treating these as what they are . tactical trades inside a wider distribution event . you're playing it right. The people who get destroyed are the ones who mistake a scalp for a swing and let it run into the next leg down.

The first bounce after a five-week selloff is the most expensive trade in markets. Every technical signal will look perfect. RSI resetting from oversold. MACD crossing up. "Support held." Retail sees a textbook buy. Institutions see a liquidity window to sell into. This has played out the same way in every major drawdown I've traded through. 2018 Q4, March 2020, every bear rally in 2022. The first bounce averages 3 to 5 days before rolling over to retest or break the lows. It's not random. It's structural. Buyback blackouts mean no corporate bid. Negative gamma means dealers aren't reinforcing the move higher. CTA rebalancing is mechanical, not emotional. They need sustained price above trigger levels before they flip. So the first bounce runs on short covering and retail enthusiasm. That's it. And that fuel burns in days, not weeks. The hardest trade right now isn't buying the dip. It isn't staying short. It's doing absolutely nothing when the first green candle shows up. Sitting on your hands while fintwit screams "bottom is in" takes more discipline than any entry you'll ever make. The real setup comes on the second test. When the tourists are gone and only real buyers remain. If you survived this drawdown with capital intact, don't give it back chasing the relief rally. What's your rule for re-entry after a prolonged flush?

#BTC bulls got rugged again. Start of the week I called the range low dump. We got pumped above mid range, now we're dumping right back below it. That pump? Total fakeout bullshit. Any bounce back to mid-range = free shorting opportunity. Short the shit out of this ponzi.

#BTC BULLS..... YOU’RE BEING PLAYED AGAIN! • Fake breakout → bull trap • Dump → mid-range • Chop → distribution • Break down → continuation I called every leg live. Now? Only one thing is left: Range low. Most of you will still buy the dip… because you think this is “support.” hahaha

Buy the dips; sell the rips. At a good dip point here w/ SPX at 6680. Bottom line, we are going lower. US is kicking ass tactically; getting our ass kicked strategically. Iran can: -kill millions of Arabs by striking desalinization plants across the Gulf, causing catastrophic lack of drinking water, chaos, and global market collapse -destroy tankers anchored like sitting ducks in Hormuz, again, collapsing the global economy -deploy a dirty bomb, yes, again, collapsing global economy The above is why we are not seeing mass bombing of Tehran or the take out of key power and water infrastructure in Iran. The US is scared of the Iran response. That's why all the 20x hits-harder promised by Anchor Pete haven't happened. The US has one huge problem. This began last year. We took out the enrichment potential, but left the 1000s of lbs of Uranium. Only two ways to get that, effect regime change, getting a puppet in charge who turns it over for billions in cash; or go in on the ground. People wonder why doesn't DJT just declare victory and leave. Believe me, he wants to, but the enriched uranium threat then remains. Israel and the deep state want this to escalate. If Trump truly had America First Balls, he would: -strike a grand bargain with Russia -US stops all support of Ukraine, in return, -Russia uses its influence to get Iran to open Hormuz -Trump stops all support of Israel. Let Israel and Iran continue to fight if they want, but pull out the US, stop support of Ukraine, and take all our defense dollars to shore up Western Hemisphere defense. But of course, thanks to the deep state & Israel lobby, this is impossible. Instead, my base case here is for further escalation, leading to further market collapse, as Trump succumbs to deep state/Israel pressure to go in and try to get the dispersed Uranium. What a fucking disaster. Trump should be impeached. He is a grandmaster political operative. The Barnum & Bailey of modern times. But he is a fucking geopolitical idiot. Period. He has shown that he knows nothing about complex global issues.

Been awhile since I covered $VPG. This was a sensor play for $TSLA Optimus Ramp. Very important breadcrumb this week at the Sidoti Conference: "Potential to scale to hundreds of robots per week by the end of 2026." Kinda sounds aligned with Optimus? No? If we go off their CEO "$500-$1.2k per robot" statement: Not too shabby. But of course, a lot of robotic supply chains are kind of dead money until the actual inflection point humanoids at scale hits. Maybe Unitree IPO sparks some life into robotic supply chains soon?

Another banger… You can generate $20,000 to $30,000 a month with spreads. But it only works if you stay disciplined and compound your account to the point where it’s big enough. That alone should be all the motivation you need. Let the money work for you, especially in choppy conditions.

Friday isn't the volatility event. Monday is. Quad witch strips out trillions in options today. All that gamma infrastructure, the dealer hedging, the pin mechanics. Gone by 4pm. Then Powell speaks Saturday. Markets closed. No way to react. Monday opens with a completely reset gamma landscape, a Fed catalyst nobody could hedge for, and buyback blackout still active. No corporate bid underneath. $SPY sitting at 656 with the put wall at 650. I think we test that level Monday, maybe break it. The variance risk premium is screaming. Implied vol at 24, realized at 13. People paid up for protection that expires worthless today. The actual risk shows up when they're naked. Everyone exhaling into the weekend is looking at the wrong day on the calendar. What's your Monday game plan?

⚡ $SANM #NASDAQ 4h | AI Analysis - I expect SANM to remain bearish overall unless there is a strong reversal signal at the 122.52-124.54 support area. Watch for manipulation below the most recent low — if price quickly reverses after sweeping this area, it could be a sign of accumulating longs before a relief rally. - For shorts: Wait for a retracement toward 131.45 or 137.01, look for clear bearish reversal candles (engulfing, pin bar, or lower-timeframe breakdown). Entry could be around those levels with targets at 124.54 and 122.52, and further down at 110.44 if support fails. Stop-loss should be above the swing high or latest rejection wick. - For longs: Only consider if there is a strong bullish reversal at or just below 122.52, with confirmation (double-bottom, engulfing, or higher low on lower timeframes). Entry at 123-124, first target at 131.45, second target at 137.01. Stop-loss should be placed just below the swing low. - If price closes below 122.52 with volume and momentum, my bias remains bearish toward 110.44. - Key confirmation examples: Look for a fakeout below 122.52 followed by a fast recovery, bullish engulfing, or reversal divergence on RSI/MFI. For shorts, wait for a weak rally into resistance, followed by a strong rejection candle. 🚨 Get free AI trade signals before the move starts. Join Finora AI → tinyurl.com/FinoraBot

It seems twitter became expert for photonics. Respect to everyone taking time to learn about new industries. What is a must buy at today's price, and what is the biggest risk associated with it? I have at least 30 random tweets daily where I can see someone telling us how X is needed for Z for supply chain for Y for bottlenecks in W. I can't pretend I understand it. I loaded up 10% cash, but need ideas. $AAOI seems to be dying, $LITE looks sluggish, and everything is so red that it means it's a good day to buy, if you know what to buy that is. $LWLG? $AEHR? $ALMU? $POET? $AXTI? $OCC? From a brief intro, I liked OCC a lot. From the rest, their stories are wonderful, but their debt levels and dilution risk aren't wonderful at all.
