GOG le top. Le meilleur des démat' possible. Sans DRM, tu peux même faire tes propres jeux en boite, une folie, et un vrai rempart pour la préservation du jeu vidéo ✊💿

@GOGcom Exactly what I did for Disco Elysium. I plan on doing it for more games like the olds DOOM, DOOM 2016 and Eternal for example.

Vu la situation un peu compliqué de Arkane en ce moment, c'est le bon moment pour sécuriser des versions sans DRM des Dishonored et de Prey. Ça tombe bien c'est en promo chez GOG en ce moment. Environ 20€ pour tout ça.

@AutixTheCore @GOGcom Yeah I get that point and I totaly agree. For some game it's ok, like Disco Elysium, the game is only solo, it's finished, you have all the lastest patch. But that solve only a part of the problem.

@David_Waylander @GOGcom Well let's say you have a co op game, or a multiplayer game. You just ignore part of the functionality? What about leaderboard games? Hell even updates to the game? You PAID for that. That should be yours. That is restriction of the game you paid for if they can take that away.

@David_Waylander @GOGcom Right but that's not a viable solution for the problems at hand. You also 'own it' with restrictions which clearly aren't full owning. If a game legally can be restricted I don't own it and practicality doesn't matter.

@ChatteDesNeiges @Gotzilla54 Ouais ça a un coup. Les disques sont cher, surtout ceux qui font 50 ou 100Gb. Le plus économique c'est clairement de sauvegarder sur un disque dur de qualité. Pour ça que je ne le ferai que pour les jeux avec lesquels j'ai un gros affect.

@David_Waylander @Gotzilla54 Je ne connaissais pas cette technologie, intéressant, a voir le prix et le matériel pour la gravure. Par contre un disque dur a l'avantage d'être facilement diagnosticable et très peu cher, c'est mieux qu'un disque classique ou que de la mémoire flash.

Dans ce grand débat actuel "Playstation, la fin des disques et la perte des droits consommateurs". Je profite pour rappeler qu'être officiellement propriétaire de ce qu'on achète est possible et ça passe par GOG. Priorisez cette plateforme.

@AutixTheCore @GOGcom Man, it's just a way for me to have a physical copy of a game that I love like in the old age of PC gaming 😅. When you buy a game on GOG you have full right on the game. It's your own. The only thing I did is put it on a disc and yes it's a real cost 😅

@David_Waylander @GOGcom You understand that for 85 percent of people putting something on a disc is a lot of work. They wouldn't even get the external discdrive to work. And that's cool for that game but what about other games? How does this fix the actual issue that you don't own the game?

@Vermillon999 @GOGcom Légalement je ne pense pas que ce soit autorisé et ce n'est pas mon objectif 😅 . Mais effectivement si je passe ce disque à n'importe qui il peut c/c les fichiers d'installation et il pourra installer le jeu sans avoir besoin de connexion internet. Zero DRM rien.

@ChatteDesNeiges @Gotzilla54 Le blu ray M-Disc est supérieur en termes d'archivage et de longévité. En théorie un M-Disc a une longévité de 1000 ans alors qu'un disque dur on dit que c'est un peu moins de 10 ans. Pour la conservation l'idéal est d'avoir trois support différents. Cloud, disque et disque dur.

@crixus_ff Malheureusement GOG a un catalogue relativement limité comparé à Steam. J'ai un peu délaissé GOG quand je me suis procuré le Steam Deck mais maintenant que j'ai trouvé comment jouer à mes jeux GOG dessus j'y reviens !

Ces images me donnent envie de créer mes jeux au format physique dès 2028 ! Je suis convaincu qu'un nouveau marché peut émerger, un business à développer. Je ne comprends pas pourquoi on achète sur Steam alors qu'avec GoG, il existe une alternative avec des jeux sans DRM.
