@NikkiMcR The off chance that someone out there actually finds this appealing is a distressing thought

@MindyFurano To hell with two months—give me two minutes and a crowbar, and I guarantee you won't be able to recognize Anything.

I’m actually sick of the expectation that these goons deserve praise for “turning” on Trump. This isn’t a sudden episode of moral clarity. Trump is effectively a lame duck, the war is deeply unpopular, the political cost to them is near negligible.

My great great great grandfather was in the Civil War reenactments. It was so authentic and accurate because they would go on the battlefield 22 minutes after the original soldiers would come off the field. One time they went on too early and were just massacred.

@JamesUrbaniak I see journalists are still unironically using 'tapped' to refer to an act which is not fucking.

@MindyFurano That seems like the kind of place where as soon as you sit down, they come over with a steak and start the routine without asking what you want.

@DavinWood People who talk like that ignite a fight or flight response. I would feel trapped. I don’t even eat meat but I’d down it quick just to leave. A decade of animal support down the drain. “But Mindy, couldn’t you just not order the steak and also leave?” A decade down the drain.

@PoorOldRoloTony I once wrote a rambling term paper on the limitations of Victorian tech catapulting the career of Will Oakland as a proto-barbershop star, his songs dripping with nationalist sentimentalism, at the fundamental frequency of a crying baby, or some such horseshit.

A barber shop quartet always seemed excessive to me. Do you really need 4 guys cutting your hair? The small talk with one person is tortuous enough.

i’m so sick of this becoming the norm — i recently watched an ed sullivan documentary where they did the same thing, i didn’t notice until halfway through that it was artificial ed. can we please just have a real human read their words, we don’t need to revive the dead for this
Rolling Stone@RollingStone

Netflix’s new documentary about the early days of The Red Hot Chili Peppers and the influence of its founding guitarist, Hillel Slovak, uses an AI voiceover of the late musician reading through his personal journals. rollingstone.com/music/music-ne…
