Yesterday, I published an article about yourparty.uk I want to issue a public correction and a sincere apology for an error. In that article, I said 500,000 people had signed up. That was incorrect. It is now 600,000 — and counting. Real change is coming.

People did not elect a Labour government to push 50,000 more children into poverty. My interview on @BBCNewsnight.

The government’s attack on disabled people is utterly despicable.

Disability benefit cuts will push over 250,000 people, including 50,000 children, into poverty. So I asked the Chancellor —who earns over £150,000, accepted £7,500 in free clothes & took freebie tickets to see Sabrina Carpenter— if Austerity 2.0 is the "change" people voted for?

As I’ve said before, the cruel attacks on disabled people by the DWP since 2010 will go down in history as an inexcusable crime —so will this Government’s plans now. I will be voting against cuts to disability benefits. My colleagues can & must do so too.

Earlier this morning I went along to support the demonstration by disabled people campaigning against the cuts in benefits the government is inflicting on them. Shocked at overnight increase in cuts. ⁦@Dis_PPL_Protest

Lambeth Labour councillors clapped as they justified the £99 million in cuts that they just voted through. They say they represent the borough by they shred local services as Labour refuses to implement the kind of economic policies that would end austerity.
Lambeth Solidarity@LambSolidarity

As @LambethLabour wilfully vote through £99million of cuts to our services (to extend 15 years of austerity and decades of neoliberal plunder) local unions and campaigners commit to building an alternative. Watch this space ✊🚩 #wesayFIGHTBACK

I spoke today to oppose the government’s proposal to cut Winter Fuel Allowance. I voted against this because it will not only cause real hardship for many of my constituents this winter there is a real risk some will die.

I’ve just voted against the means-testing of the Winter Fuel payments. I stand with my constituents in opposing austerity and I will continue to stand up for Poplar and Limehouse — no matter what.

I just voted against the means-testing of Winter Fuel Payments. I cannot stand idly by and see austerity 2.0 implemented. This is not the change people voted for.

I just voted against cutting the Winter Fuel Allowance. For me, this was a matter of conscience. This cut is not only going to cause even greater hardship for so many pensioners in my constituency who are already living in poverty, but it will also cost lives.

We need to keep challenging the myth that austerity is necessary and poverty is inevitable. They’re not. Money can and must be found.
