@twinpeaksv I think it’s a combo of both. For instance VIII was my first so for me it holds the place in my mind that VII does for most other people. It’s definitely a must play as far as JRPG’s go. And I can easily see why it’s so special to so many. But plenty of other FF’s are better IMO
