I started my period unexpectedly at work and bled through onto an office chair. I was mortified because my manager was a man. I told him, bracing for humiliation. You know what he did? He didn’t make me clean the stain while panicking. He quietly got cleaning supplies, took care of the chair, handed me his jacket to tie around my waist, made sure I had pads, and helped me find a change of clothes. No jokes. No disgust. No scene. He just made sure I was okay.

And if we’re being honest, that’s the exact formula that fooled us before. That works in short bursts. It doesn’t win leagues and the Champions League unless we are just comfortable qualifying for the Champions League every season. United can’t make the same mistake again - giving a permanent job off a good run without asking bigger questions. We need a coach for the next five years, not just the next five months. If we’re serious about competing in the Premier League and Champions League, vibes won’t be enough.
