Are there any VCs that are invested in and publicly linked to both @grass and @Hivemapper ? The conversations happening in those two communities can't be a coincidence. Token rewards are central to a decentralized network. One doesn't exist without the other. $HONEY and $GRASS belong to us, the cintributors. This whole thing breaks without the growth of the token economy. To decide to change the tokenomics the way that these teams are doing it is a mistake. It's a web2 decision. It's a financial decision based on outside pressure from investors. Founders... Build your product. Sell your devices. Founders don't control the token. Understand that. Developers don't decide how the distribution of rewards is executed. You build the mechanism. There needs to be an effort to organize network contributors on @solana in a way that benefits the entire community. Nobody is doing this! Why??? I'm proposing and offering to host the discussion alongside the community. Who wants to return the future of the token economy to the contributors of the data? Why not, right? I see two immediate opportunities. Two mistakes are being made.

Funny how fast things change. This bin represents a chapter of the journey. These access points helped build one of the largest DePIN wireless networks in the world. They served their purpose, but they also taught one of the biggest lessons in this industry: If you don’t control the hardware, you don’t control your future. Today, we’re swapping out gated deployments for open infrastructure. From locked ecosystems to enterprise-grade Wi-Fi that gives us the freedom to choose who we work with, who we serve, and where our hardware earns. That’s what DePIN was always supposed to be about, not being locked into one project, but owning infrastructure that can adapt as the market evolves. Freedom of choice is worth more than any single token. Onward to the next chapter. 🚀 #DePIN #OpenInfrastructure #Wireless

@thisisnosaa Who cares about $GRASS? Find a token economy you can actually help build. @solana has a few others. Why are you so focused on @grass changing their mind?

● This is exactly why the $Grass team continues with the same approach. While the majority of the community is lamenting over the minimal allocations received,we still have individuals openly running Grass nodes without any concern. ● One thing is clear, those with significantly larger allocations have little incentive to speak up,which is why they continue as if everything is fine. ● If more people adopt this mindset and stay silent, the team will simply assume their distribution was successful and fair. ● This behavior needs to be called out and addressed. We cannot normalize it. ●Retweet if you agree let’s push for better accountability and fairness in the Grass ecosystem. End.
Konda@kondis1987

Stage 3 has officially begun. Stage 2 allocations were disappointing for many people, myself included, but I've also seen users who are happy with what they received. All of my apps are still running just as they were before. Who else is going to keep touching @grass in Stage 3 besides me? @grassfdn @GigaBuds_

I posted this a few hours ago. Coincidentally... @grass puts out their official response: "In the interest of navigating ongoing regulatory uncertainty and to ensure that users based in all eligible jurisdictions may claim rewards in a timely manner, participant rewards for Stage 2 will be made available in USDC." It's clear what happened with @grass but unfortunately not much the community can do.
Decentralized Rob@DcentralizedRob

Similar to $GRASS? Actually there was confirmation that the $USDC rewards are in addition to the usual $HONEY from @Hivemapper . You see the dynamic that @aseidman created? Hivemapper is the token layer. Up top. @TryBeeMaps is in the utility layer. Right below it. HONEY needs more community members to build on the utility layer or it dies. Its like hivemapper drew a map. Be like @TryBeeMaps and use the data. Charge people money. They pay you in fiat. Track it. Buy the token. Distribute it to the network contributors. We need builders to drive demand for the token. That is not Hivemapper's responsibility. Just like it's not Nova's responsibility to build on top of the @helium iot network. That's our responsibility. The other reality is that Bee Maps and Grass only exist because of us. Those businesses need a community. The community needs the token economy to grow. That is TIPIN 101. The only reason we're here is the token. And not simply because we want to earn money. We want to earn money in a sovereign manner. We own the token economy. We don't own $USDC, @circle does. The corporate advisors are pressuring web3 founders to move away from the token upon some milestone being reached. (My opinion) @grass says they reached (sufficient?) profitability or whatever so move away from the token. Go be a real business. Ariel is experimenting with $USDC rewards. Why? I'm guessing it's compliance related in both cases. Who is going to drive demand for the token? Not @Hivemapper Not @grass and in the case of $HNT, not @helium until they let @helium_mobile go... Thanks for your time. Is any of that wrong @DePINConnection ?

I'd like to join as an Institution but I'm just an individual. I have a (relatively) small backyard farm/homestead. I'm connecting a lot of it to the @helium network as well as other decentralized networks. Areas include the usual vegetable gardens with raised, in-ground, and grown in my homemade compost. I have @WeatherXM and my Helium miner. So I've been documenting it all and I'm going to be sourcing soil sensors, indoor sensors for some hydroponics, and just a variety of sensors for the chicken coop and compost area, etc... Maybe I can jump on a call with someone. I'll give you a tour!

Bee Maps has launched a beta that pays contributors in USDC for mapping priority roads in select regions. These rewards are funded directly by Bee Maps and offered at our discretion to accelerate coverage where customer demand is highest. These rewards are separate from any other rewards. Following the beta, we expect to expand USDC rewards to most roads and regions.

The @dePioneerCats NFT collection is looking for a @solana smart contract audit of their protocol. Let me know if you have a warm introduction... ✌️
dePioneers | Hybrid NFTs, Token-Backed DePIN DAO@dePioneerCats

TGIF @dePioneerCats grab some kibble. We're getting into it. We had a truly Stellar week around the spaceship. They don't call it a Ship for nothing you know! Ship is all that cats on @solana do! Here are some hot topics that came up around the milk bowl... (we're not tall enough to have a water cooler!) @Trilobit7478 is chasing @DcentralizedRob because he took the yarn ball. Wait. Wrong notes... The Audit! That is the topic! It's been two years cats. The DPL-302 protocol must be audited. We have plans! How do we open up and let you all build with us??? In the coming weeks the cats will be looking to talk to a few humans that want a shot at this task. It's big. The link to our protocol is in the comments. It's pretty long, NGL. Some words exceed two syllables. Here are the basics as we were told we can mention and some areas to focus. We want the best audit. A bigly audit. • NFT → token conversion • Reminting flows • Treasury controls • Staking calculations • Admin permissions • Upgrade authority • PDA validation (not those PDAs 💋) And, of course, any sneaky edge cases that could knock the protocol off the scratching post. Leave no corner unexplored human! So drop your favorite auditor in the comments. You provide the audit, we'll provide the space suit to get you to the Ship 👇 Meow!

@A_Obimma @aseidman That is a possible reality. $HONEY rewards may be done. Similar to what @grass is doing. Not much transparency in 2026 web3. Let's hope not. @Hivemapper should be better than that. Are they here for the community or not?

We have started to roll out USDC Payments (BETA) for driving with the Bee to select regions and roads. Here is how it works: 1. Download the latest version of the Bee App 2. Certain regions like Dubai, Lisbon, Los Angeles, etc. have purple roads as shown below. Click on the roads to view unique road km pricing. If you are the first to map that unique road km, you are paid for it. 3. To receive USDC payments you will need to add a new wallet. See Settings > Rewards. Important Notes * This is not yet available for Fleets (Beekeeper) * Your existing HONEY wallet is still accessible under Settings > Support * USDC Rewards are funded by Bee Maps * USDC rewards will be distributed at our discretion and are completely separate from any other existing rewards. * Beta means we are testing things, so not everything will be finalized immediately. If you are not comfortable with some rough edges the Beta is not for you. * We expect to expand the Beta to most regions by the end of the month.

Does @grass no longer need the data that the network contributes? That's what they are saying. The early supporters built the network and stacked the tokens. That is the basis of the $GRASS token economy. Build the network Earn the token Find partners to accept the token Build liquidity Grow the network More data More token rewards More staking Increase liquidity They don't get it?

$GRASS dumping -30% after their Token Call yesterday explains how CT don't believe anything from the team. The few bullish ones have not read the docs yet. And when they do, they'd find out that the team has thrown away everything they wrote in their own tokenomics😆

im fully out of my $grass position generally still like it as a longer term position + view it as one of the most successful crypto x AI projects we have however, with no near term catalysts + lower than expected revenue numbers its hard to remain long my longer thoughts around the call: 1. equity<>token: they made it very clear on this call the token is the sole instrument that accrues value. there is no equity side. this was good to hear firsthand 2. revenue: 17m in first half of 2026. way below estimates. they expect closer to 65-75m for the entire 2026 year. It is a lumpy business but still, not great 3. LCR: this was the most exciting thing to look forward to. Still a few months out but I think this is the next major catalyst for grass and how to continues to scale. all in all I view the call mostly as a continuation of the status quo with a slightly bearish outcome due to revenue numbers. The whole trade was predicated around the awareness and education gap around grass + a potential upside surprise on the call. The education gap was closed and allowed for some price appreciation but unfortunately the upside surprise from the call didnt materialize I will continue to keep close tabs on grass and will probably look to build a more long term position once we see LCR roll out
lesabre@lesabrefomo

im long solana:Grass7B4RdKfBCjTKgSqnXkqjwiGvQyFbuSCUJr3XXjs due to terrible comms, most people have no idea that it is one of the highest revenue generating projects we have in crypto ($50m run rate as of q4'25, expected closer to 100m+ now) it's a real business with real customers (frontier models + mag 7) offering a valuable service that has practically infinite demand. Their edge being they can provide consented, auditable and cleanly sourced data at scale. very hard to have both. on the token: there is no equity. None. The revenue entity is owned by an ownerless foundation, so value can't get trapped in some VC's cap table. Value can only accrue to the token. generally think there is an education issue on grass due to the poor comms and once you piece everything together you are left with arguably the most successful crypto x ai project. Their token holder call is coming up on july 7th. I expect a lot more attention to the project once people realize how fast it is growing

Irony? A web3 community no longer interested in touching grass. This is spot on @Pickle_cRypto except for one small detail. The @grass team made it clear. There will be no support from the foundation for the token. Rewards will be paid in $USDC. If anyone wants solana:Grass7B4RdKfBCjTKgSqnXkqjwiGvQyFbuSCUJr3XXjs you can swap into it.
pickle@Pickle_cRypto

Grass - anyone with a good take, please help the purpose of DePIN tokens is to allow shared ownership of the network by those who help build it. The last round of airdrops was in USDC and Grass have indicated this will persist As far as I can see, the $GRASS token was simply a way to bootstrap the initial nodes/device apps to get the network up and running. Now they have sufficient revenue and network size for most things, it no longer serves a purpose. While the presentation they did states that there is no equity, and all revenue/IP is held with the Grass Foundation - this DOESN'T mean the token. Right now, they don't execute any real buybacks with revenue, it doesn't work for governance, its not gas (despite their docs saying it would serve these purposes 2 years ago and still says this). It's just a staking token to earn more Grass. Whilst this is ongoing, the revenue is largely spent on Wynd labs who use it for salaries/hiring and physical infrastructure build out. What stops Grass (foundation) from legally changing how revenue is managed? Remember, the token is not equity, we have no rights. They can change their minds 'ah token didn't work sorry bros' and move on. This is the worst case scenario thinking, but the team have continued to manage their token holders (and NFT holders) poorly, so it seems the probability of kicking the can down the road for years whilst earning handsome salaries, or simply pivoting to a non token model, is high.

Two tokens. $GRASS and solana:4vMsoUT2BWatFweudnQM1xedRLfJgJ7hswhcpz4xgBTy The same scenario. @Hivemapper and @grass seem to have turned their backs on their community. Both are exploring token rewards with stables. Hivemapper has effectively ended the discussion in their discord. Sentiment is way down. Grass completely abandoned their tokenomics. Am I wrong? Is this possible on @solana ?
