The US economy is now dependent on AI spending: AI investment now accounts for more than 25% of US GDP growth, the largest contribution on record. This includes spending on software, IT equipment, R&D, and data centers. In other words, for every $4 of US economic growth today, over $1 is coming from AI investment. This comes as AI spending is up to a record ~8% of US GDP. By comparison, spending on IT equipment, software, and R&D peaked at ~6.5% of GDP during the 2000 Dot-Com bubble. US economic growth is now all about AI.

@kondis1987 @grass This is the problem with any DePIN project that requires a very large number of participants. When you break it down to the revenue per node, unless you have a massive amount of revenue the juice isn’t worth the squeeze for most people.

Stage 3 has officially begun. Stage 2 allocations were disappointing for many people, myself included, but I've also seen users who are happy with what they received. I imagine he knew what he was getting into and I wish him the best but he has a tough task ahead. Regardless, the DePIN category wouldn’t be what it is today without Helium. We learned a lot about what to do and what not to do and there is a new wave of projects that is set up to be very successful because of it.
