@sitsio Reading it in Greek for the first time! The Latin Sub tuum praesidium speaks of “military” protection, whereas the Greek εὐσπλαγχνία points to the inner organs, the seat of intimacy and compassion. It echoes the Hebrew רַחֲמִים, mercy/maternal love, rooted in the word for womb.
