Best case scenario, we have another Maresca on our hands worst case another year wasted. What concerns me most is if we get it wrong we start becoming a club that 'big clubs' can just come and have their pickings.

Even Pochettino then was better signing than Iraola now. This guy is a person that has never won a trophy throughout his entire playing career and coaching career. What do you think will happen when he's in a club whose whole identity is about winning?

Proven at what? Never won a trophy, not even coached a single game in the UCL. Never been a part of a massive dressing room, never coached massive egos, never dealt with this kind of pressure. Nothing relevant has been accomplished. He's just another talented and proven in a significantly less pressure environment coach being hired. Has he proven his tactics work in the Premier League? Sure, but he's done so playing 1 game a week with a bunch of players who don't demand trophies – in an environment that matches it. We NEED someone who we KNOW can handle the dressing room and someone the dressing room KNOWS is capable of winning at the highest level. Iraola isn't that guy and therefore is a MASSIVE risk. We can not afford to take risks at this stage of the project.

@CFCMJordan I dunno, Iraola is a proven, well respected coach. In Spain he overachieved & beat several top teams, he’s done the same in England. He’s coached several elite players who went on to big clubs & they all respected & spoke highly of him.

@ik_fiinn Tactical advice, play your two fastest strikers and put defensive feeders around them like a Xabi Alonso or Mac Allister just defensive orchestrators. Spam those long balls and hope you're players are faster than their defenders( those p2w defenders are fast as shit). LBC needed

Immediately I see teams like this in the divisions, I start panicking.

@ik_fiinn Try and get the first goal once you get it go double defensive, clear any ball that comes near your box 18. Avoid corner kicks as much as possible. If you're very lucky you might snatch a win or a draw.

Is this the reason behind Iraola and Howe as possible targets? But it doesn't tell the full story too because our midfield isn't build for fast attacks. Palmer is though and will benefit from attacking open spaces but to recover the ball. Caicedo, Enzo, Santos, Lavia, except Essugo all struggle under those conditions.
