@VoxGonzo@Jaredhowe@disclosetv I got on alt to just say this. How big of a pussy are you to reply to someone and block them? You look like a libtard, soy boy from Minneapolis, so makes sense. I’m not a chink either retard 😂. Learn some history. Forcing Europe to protect itself isn’t mulitpolarism.
We signed up to do it? Can you tell me exactly where we signed up to be Europes bodyguard and have permanent bases there?
We have military bases in Europe because of the Cold War. After World War Two, Europe was in ruins, and from 1946 to the late 80s, there was a genuine worry Russia might invade Europe. Then the Soviet collapsed and that worry disappeared.
The only duty we had towards protecting Europe is the one in Article 5 in the NATO agreement, an attack on one country is an attack an all. That doesn’t imply having physical military presence in Europe, let alone accounting for almost all military in Europe altogether.
When Russia invaded Ukraine, we contributed more aid to Ukraine than almost all of the EU combined. Four years after the war began a few things became clear to us.
1. Russia is no threat to Europe. It could barely defeat a much weaker nation bordering it.
2. We are doing the heavy lifting in military defense in Europe. The rest of Europe is contributing almost nothing to their military defense spending.
3. That needs to change.
The US has no obligation to keep its military bases in the EU. The reasons they are there are because of post-WW2 rebuilding and the Cold War. There is no reason to keep them there. Europe has the ability to protect themselves militarily, they just haven’t bothered doing it because we have done it for them. But no need to worry, that’s going to change very soon. We’re leaving the EU, and the EU will be forced to begin allocating their budget to their own defense. They’ll be just fine. Also, I’m not Korean or Asian. Don’t be retarded.
