This will be my last full-time week on the core @helium team. I’ll be staying on as an advisor through the summer to help with a transition.
I deployed my first Hotspot in late 2019, wrote my first HIP in 2020, and built community tools. That work is how I got pulled onto the core team. I didn't start on the inside; I started as a community member who wouldn't shut up.
It's been 6+ years, the longest run of my career. Over that stretch, we iterated on PoC, migrated to @solana, evolved governance, and shaped the HIP process into something that gives this community a real voice in how the network runs. I'm proud of every bit of it.
The next few months will be very good for the network. The shift is already happening: fewer distractions, clearer priorities, and a protocol shaped by the community and the HNT holders with the most at stake. That's always been my position, and it's the lens I'll keep watching through.
I'm also giving myself some room to think, write, and get closer to hardware again: real devices, atoms, supply chains, weird constraints, and things people can actually hold.
I'm not disappearing. Still holding HNT, still paying attention. I care about this network and I want to see it win.

Yep, Network is maturing as it should. WiFi offload should capture most HNT since driven by much higher data volume vs IoT. Passive PoC was an important bootstrap but HIP 147 (data eats first) was an appropriate step to support the next wave of growth. Can't do much about markets unfortunately. Strongly believe fundamentals will win out eventually, so deployers still have significant opportunity with the right locations world.helium.com/en/network/mob…

If you’re a @helium @helium_mobile deployer STOP setting the wrong expectations with your hosts then blame the network!
1) STOP doing FIXED payments. That has always and will always be a terrible idea.
2)SELL the TECH! Customers really do have a better experience indoors with the helium deployments.
3)SELL the passive rewards, not the amount! I tell our hosts you won’t get rich but it “MAY” help with a bill or two. HELP not PAY….watch 👀 your words.
4) STOP 🛑 psyching yourself out FREE is FREE if your hosts don’t think that’s enough move one.
5) DON’T force a sale! From my experience I would’ve been better walking away. They tend to be the most problematic hosts.
