@Hashboz @punished_bobda Not at all! Everyone has their priorities. I recognize that if I had chosen to spend an additional 20 hours working every week my financial position would be much different. I just thought the work-life balance would have been possible from the beginning.
English

@DeadBug15 @punished_bobda Wait … are you saying I’m a bad dad because after losing everything I rebuilt our lives from the ashes? You are not a serious person.
English

How about we have YOU move to the middle of nowhere to make room for the young who actually have futures
Mahershalalhashbozy@Hashboz
@applejackfan95 @punished_bobda Or just move to a cheaper place. You got choices.
English

@unknownSC1087 Legitimately I wish I’d taken the job. I was a college student and thought fast food was beneath me as a business major. I was working in call center at the time (how prestigious, I know!)
English

I once frequented a burger shop that hired Down syndrome and autistic employees. Then the owner offered me a managerial position there and I wasn’t sure how to take that…
DramaAlert@DramaAlert
This coffee shop only hires down syndrome employees. ❤️
English

@Hashboz @punished_bobda How did your wife and kids feel with you never being home?
English

@DeadBug15 @punished_bobda Working 60 hour weeks for five more year to rebuild my business which was cut in half due to the 2008 economic crash.
Please stop. You have embarrassed yourself enough.
English

@FortIronhold Do you have headphones in during church or at activities? What is the purpose of going if you don’t plan to participate?
English
@DeadBug15 Most people have learned by now that unless I fall asleep it’s just best to let me sit in the back with my ear buds in and that outside of basic pleasantries they should let me speak first if something needs to be said.
I have to train each new ward / branch to do this.
English

@Hashboz @punished_bobda How did you overcome this setback: a paper route or a shoe shining?
English

@DeadBug15 @punished_bobda I recommend you stop before you embarrass yourself any more:
Mahershalalhashbozy@Hashboz
@punished_bobda I lost my house-had to start over with nothing. I had put in countless hours. Long nights/weekends: I replaced every floor, every wall, every ceiling and replaced all bathrooms only to lose it all. Absolutely devastating We all have burdens I am not special You’re not special
English

@Hashboz @punished_bobda Your generation’s “figure it out” was to deliver pizza on the side. Our generation’s “figure it out” is deport all the illegals and stop companies from outsourcing our jobs. But the guy we voted in to fix that decided to renege on all of those promises.
English

@DeadBug15 @punished_bobda I am saying all generations have their own burdens to bear. They all have to figure it out. But this generation would rather be a victim and cry about it. Why? What a waste of time. Figure it out.
English

@Hashboz @punished_bobda My parents lost a lot of money on real estate investment at the time too. While we had to tighten our belts a bit, they didn’t lose home or job. We had to tighten our belts a bit, but we had those necessities. I had no spare money for a long time, and thus no house.
English

@punished_bobda @DeadBug15 Yeah losing hundreds of thousands of dollars in the 2008 crash was so easy to bear. You know what I didn’t do, though? I did not complain. I got to work, which is what I recommend you do too
English

@Hashboz @punished_bobda I’m not saying that previous generations had it easy-peasy all the time, but you seem blind to what these current burdens entail. When your son gets home from his mission and struggles to find a job and a house, I hope you change your tune to one of empathy and assistance.
English

@DeadBug15 @punished_bobda Every generation has a burden to bear. It may have different than yours. But every generation has to figure it out. You’re not special.
English

@giordano_lives Last Knight to Make Out could be really entertaining
English

@Hashboz @punished_bobda What you fail to understand is that many millennials and gen z bear this burden. We’re not simply “whining online” for the attention. We are trying to bring awareness to our plight of competing for a low-paying job with a pool of applicants 50x larger than when you were our age.
English

@DeadBug15 @punished_bobda You gotta do what you gotta do. We all have our own burdens to bear.
English

@Hashboz I hope the bank will accept creativity points for my mortgage payment
English

@DeadBug15 You must find a way. Extra points for creativity!
English

@wieldwright @Sheum_Search I hope a 9yo child prodigy doesn’t punch her in the face too (actually, I do hope)

"Noooo we need more trashy mormon representation, for like, missionary work and stuff. Not for my own personal indulgence so I can rationalize my own trashy behaviors because I'm not a typcical cookie cutter member (i have a tattoo)"

@DeadBug15 A person near where we live had something similar but, it was a five bed care center. They owned it for a long time.
English

@CanChudley Yes, I’m in Utah. It’s nice in many ways, and if we moved then there are aspects of the environment and community I would miss, but as for individual members of my ward, I wouldn’t spend time with them
English

@DeadBug15 Arcade, but actually one of my buddies is buying the new pokemon pinball machine, so that'll be even better.
Out of curiousity are you in Utah? My great fear is that if/when I inevitably move to Utah, we'll lose the closeness of our wards(Symbolically-physically it'll be closer)
English

@CanChudley Cool! Does someone own a pinball machine or two or are you all hitting up an arcade?
English

@DeadBug15 I cannot overstate how much I love my ward. We've got a great group, I'd say the men are maybe even tighter then the women. Ping Pong nights, pinballs nights, I'm gonna be crushed when inevitably we start moving away and/or boundary changes
English

@merrhellx Our bishopric is great, but seem to be very involved in young men’s activities and are otherwise busy with a lot. The EQP was just called a month ago, so I’m giving them time to get things rolling
English

@DeadBug15 there are big differences for sure... being part of the solution is hard when the leadership is not in a place to lead
English

@iamsebsduran I don’t know them well enough to say for sure. I think most of the men are simply busy with their own lives and families that interacting with fellow male ward members is a low priority
