@ThatPersian I remember thinking the day he was put in charge that it seemed weird.We all knew how he had engaged on here and I wondered was it to time to go.Wish I had but thought there must have been a plan. Blinded by the concept and a bit of greed I guess. Still angry everyday.

@FiUlster @HowGoodisWeed So true and I feel this point constantly gets lost - there were loads of losing bets, we all had some of them but "the mugs thought they were all winning forever narrative" is easier.

@HowGoodisWeed Definitely, price would have plummeted. So many examples, Ighalo, Max, Thauvin even Ihattaren now. So called super star in the making talking about retiring. #footballindex would have made a fortune.

Sancho now dropped by England, imagine the drop in his price this last few months, fuck me if Cole & Bohan had any business acumen they could have developed a brilliant concept in #footballindex instead of funneling millions out of it in a pipe dream.

@FIjusticeseeker @NadineDorries Totally agree and it was blatantly just wrong - particularly when you add in the frequency and level of promotions to incentivise deposits in March / April 2020 while the regulator knew it wasn’t sustainable.

was because they thought this would cause a run on the market and the company to fold. So instead they allowed new customers like myself to join, put life changing money in, completely oblivious to this as I thought it was regulated properly and lose everything @NadineDorries

(1/2)The most galling thing amongst many in the #footballindex scandal is that the @GamRegGB knew it was an unsustainable model from before I joined the platform in Jan 2020. I was shaking with rage when I read in the independent report the reason they did not suspend its licence

Who’d have thought that Index Labs wouldn’t be able to function without continued deposits from unsuspecting customers into @FootballIndex ? Absolutely remarkable how they’ve brazenly just stolen thousands of people’s money to build their own tech @andrewjonrhodes @actionfrauduk

Some tidying up on Football Index >> London-based Index Labs, which employed 27 staff, has gone into administration and will close down. Football Index (Bet Index Ltd), based in Jersey, was its only customer and went bust in March leaving gamblers with c.£90m of open bets.

@FI_DuncanB This is such an important point - there were lots of losing bets that should have been paying for the winners. These have been forgotten at times and casual observers could be forgiven for thinking we only had winning bets in our crazy pyramid scheme. Which was not the case.

And by the way, there were plenty of players I backed with smaller stakes that didn't pay off. Pjanic, Kroos, Ozil - these were bad bets. It was the nature of the game, and a risk I accepted before investing. But now our winning have been stolen from under us... #FootballIndex

Two years ago on #FootballIndex I went hard on Trent Alexander Arnold. I reaped the rewards, got about 300% return. I was very sure. Last season I went equally hard on Bukayo Saka and would also be reaping the rewards by now. Where's my winnings, @AdamColeFI ? #FootballIndex

Still casts a shadow over every day and I don’t want to admit how much it still dominates my thoughts. I have taken responsibility for my actions but they should feel bad today as well. It should have been a glorious day for the platform instead of this mess. #footballindex

@FItrader11 @andrewjonrhodes no update at all since this, we dont know if this is progressing as planned or if there have been any other developments. FI always liked announcements about announcements and then delays to everything but this is ridiculous at this point.

@ovo_fi Im in a very similar place, constantly on my mind still even though I have tried to move on. I hoped it would pass over time but not getting any easier. Need to try and focus on the good things and hope you are managing to do the same.

The #footballindex collapse has really affected me. Lost a lot of money through outright fraud. I can accept it if I lost that from my own doing. The way it all went down is a hard one to deal with. A lot of us missing life changing sums of money. Stay positive

@alli2106 Try and stay strong Joe, things will get better with time. I have created problems for myself as well. I feel terrible for getting caught out with FI. I think I have learned not to rush looking for quick fixes. But hindsight is easy and we were only trying to do our best.

Even my financial situation has taken a massive shit hit, from losing money in Football Index, which feels like the start of the whole downward spiral. I really can't see a way out of the hole I've dug myself into.

The last year has been hard, the last 6 months is killing me. I'm losing everything I care the most about, my home is gone already I'm losing the love of my life due my stupid mistakes I didn't realize I was making till it was to late. This is absolutely the worst time if my life

I am sure we are all frustrated at some of our big holds doing good things at the euros.But I am also sure we all had a few that we got wrong. These were the ones where FI won and should have been used to keep paying out the winners. But they had a different plan. #footballindex

I have assumed a large sum of money is lost and any back will be a bonus. I’ve written to MP and am trying to be patient. But getting harder everyday, not easier. Blame myself and still feel stupid for getting caught up in it. And what they done was just wrong. #footballindex
