Extremely thorough and clear piece about AI adoption in the legal industry, and what the actual barriers and challenges are. Way more writing about AI should be exactly like this.
Sean A. Harrington@SeanLovesBooks
Surveys claim up to 79% of attorneys use AI at their firms. That number measures exposure, not integration. My piece in the inaugural issue of Diffuse AI explains why the gap is structural and what we can do about it.

@krishnanrohit @TheBrancaShow Hey loser @TheBrancaShow - anyone can be an American. That’s what makes us the best country on Earth.
English

krishnan rohit is unhappy with the notion that America is for Americans.

Extraordinarily stupid. One hopes this will be tacoed back next week.

@paularambles (sort of getting the movie reference and getting too excited to make the pun) Margin Claude

@ben_mathes exciting news!
the remaining 10% only gets harder and slower the more your boss forces it to get faster

@steady_drumbeat i love logging onto x dot com, where you can viscerally experience the mass education polarization/crank realignment era any time you ask someone a basic follow-up question

@tolstoybb this map goes hard for MFA programs specializing in oversharing race-based melodramatic trauma plot short stories

@MadelaineLucyH i am also into this cluster of themes and would highly recommend Iain M Banks's The Culture series, especially, based on your preferences, The Player of Games and Inversions

I LOVE (all caps!) sci-fi that’s about big ethical dilemmas, trade offs, means and ends, strange “what ifs” and alternative histories and realities. What I strongly dislike, and get quite mean about, is 200k of “Clylx imported 200kilomeres of metoule into the bounsidon, which would get him 129 light years through combust ratio predictions on the carbon, which utilised an L-bend pipeline to maximise fuel relay efficiency…”

@poetengineer__ that's a great question! I actually find it far more productive to *not* take notes of any kind; I think that ends up being a powerful filter for helping with the act of writing
English

@DeanLearner do you keep audio notes during the walk?
English

@shady_vc @quantian1 @ryxcommar this would be more compelling if they had their own frontier lab instead whatever xai is
English

a space everywhere telco with 8bn potential customers merged with a frontier lab merged with a neocloud merged with the most important media network on earth + 75bn dollar equity infusion + however much debt he can raise off anthropic cfs and starlink subs + the man who made electric cars and reusable rockets + who also happens to have a controlling interest in the self driving cars and robot company + is launching a semi fab

Really interesting read here on how people still think in linear time, even though the internet has been post-chronological for a long time now.
Rachel Karten@milkkarten
algorithms have collapsed time, prioritizing relevance over post date. @mattstasoff suggests making your campaign rollout deck and then shuffling it. what do you see first? does it make you want to see more? if it leaves you feeling nothing, perhaps it doesn’t belong.
