85-90% of the time I charge at home, which takes 8 seconds (to plug the car in, I go in my house and wake up to a full charge). So for the 10-15% of the time I’m using Superchargers on a road trip, big deal if it takes a little longer than pumping gas. I don’t have a gas station at home.

STARLINK SATELLITE EXPANSION IS ONE OF THE LARGEST AND FASTEST INFRASTRUCTURE BUILDS IN HUMAN HISTORY SpaceX has now launched over 11,400 Starlink satellites, with nearly 10,000 currently in orbit and active. The constellation is growing so fast that Starlink already serves more than 9 million users across 150+ countries and territories — and the real explosion is still ahead. Here’s why this scale is a massive deal: • True global coverage is almost complete
The latest V2 satellites (larger, more powerful, with laser links) are filling the final gaps. Polar regions, deep oceans, remote deserts, and mountain ranges that never had reliable internet are now coming online fast. • Direct-to-Cell is coming soon
Regular smartphones will soon connect directly to Starlink satellites — no dish needed. Emergency calls, texts, and basic data will work literally anywhere on Earth. • Speeds & reliability keep improving
Average speeds are already 100–300+ Mbps with low latency. As more satellites join, the network gets faster, more resilient, and capable of handling tens of millions of users. • Real-world impact is already enormous • Disaster zones restored within hours • Rural schools and hospitals in Africa, South America, and Asia now have high-speed internet for the first time • Commercial flights, ships, mining operations, and remote communities run on Starlink • Conflict zones stayed connected when ground networks were destroyed • It funds the multiplanetary future
Starlink revenue is the main cash engine paying for Starship development. Every new satellite launched is helping build the vehicle that will take humanity to Mars. This isn’t just “satellite internet.” This is the largest, fastest-deployed global communications network ever created — turning “no signal” into a sentence from the past for billions of people. The expansion is relentless, and the best is still coming.

I'm not interested in funding failure. California communities NEED to see results in getting people off the streets and into support and housing. If I have to redirect every damn penny to the counties that are actually getting things done, I won't hesitate to do so.

James Cameron, 88, stands in a gallery of Black Holocaust Museum, which he founded, in Milwaukee. When Cameron was 16, he was nearly lynched in Indiana. The noose was around his neck, but he was spared when someone in the mob vouched for him at the last moment (Wisconsin, 2003). The most haunting photos ever taken: bit.ly/46yA996

>>@JDCocchiarella: Governor Gavin Newsom, just made some news of his own. He is demanding — and he should — that Donald Trump refund every single dollar that his tariffs cost Americans. What is it? About $1,700 so far through this year that has been charged unnecessarily — taxed — because of Donald Trump's tariffs!

Clarkson said when questioned about the BBC: “I sparked fury in W1A at every turn. But it turns out that I was actually nothing more than a naughty scallywag, given the paedophiles and wrong ‘uns. Savile and Harris and Edwards were going about their business while I was being reprimanded for calling my new dog Didier Dogba. ‘And it keeps getting worse.’” He added that the BBC’s recent controversies, including the Panorama editing row involving Donald Trump and the Glastonbury broadcast of rapper Bob Vylan, only underline how badly things have deteriorated. Jeremy admitted he now feels “smug” about his departure, saying: “Since it let me go, my life has improved immeasurably, and when I look at what’s happened to it since, I can’t help feeling just a tiny bit smug.”

Piers, what is disgusting is a major NYC Muslim leader saying we must give up our dogs because "NYC is coming to Islam" We will not be shamed into being conquered like the Europeans. I choose my dog. I know my first appearance on your show didn't go well for you, but if you want to try again, I am happy to administer another beating.

Okay this is wild. My Tesla stopped for pedestrians like it’s supposed to. They waved it on. And the car actually understood the hand signal… and went. No awkward pause. No confusion. It just got it. A car reading human body language in real time. On a normal street. We’re way past “driver assist” at this point. Has anyone else had FSD do something that made you stop and say… okay, this is different? $TSLA

@teslaownersSV So Polestar has sold maybe a few thousand cars. Meanwhile Tesla has sold over 9,000,000 cars and SpaceX makes the only American spacecraft that have humans to & from space since the space shuttle.

Polestar’s new 2026 campaign ad takes pointed, unnamed shots at Elon Musk, Tesla, and its ventures, framing the EV choice as “past distractions” vs. Polestar’s grounded, Earth-focused future. Key sarcastic lines include: • “Choose conquering Mars (good luck with that).” — Mocking Musk’s SpaceX Mars colonization goals as unrealistic fantasy. • “Choose popcorn Robots.” — A jab at Tesla’s Optimus humanoid robot, referencing viral clips of it handling popcorn at events and demos. • “Choose ignoring the science.” — Likely shading perceived controversies around Tesla’s autonomy claims, battery tech, or Musk’s public statements. • “Choose plastic interiors.” — Criticizing Tesla’s minimalist cabins for relying on hard plastics over premium materials. The ad contrasts these with Polestar’s emphasis on clean, no-nonsense electric driving and higher-end design.
