Harriet Harman's "doesn't take away from" is so infuriating because it typifies the patronising way in which women who are *more* informed and willing to make a stand have been treated as misguided. As if they don't all know what the career-protecting thing to do is!

Willoughby making Jenni Murray's death all about himself. We HEARD YOU on women's hour describing women who don't shave their legs as "dirty". Jenni knew at that moment that you and men like you fetishize womenhood. You are the worst of male bullies.

This is now the THIRD time I’ve covered a story where a woman has been put on antipsychotic medication for saying that someone was living in her house - and each time the woman was right - and each time a man was eventually arrested and found to be living in her loft. 1 case in Australia 2 cases in UK. This is of course absolutely atrocious - but also serves to prove that there is ZERO science to a psychiatric disorder diagnosis. This young woman was put on heavy antipsychotics that made her feel like a zombie - for trying to report that someone was living in her loft. What scientific or clinical process led to the diagnosis that she was psychotic and delusional? NOTHING. What rationale was there for the antipsychotics? NOTHING. In cases like this, women are disproportionately represented. Women try to report abuse, violence, concerns - and are still being chalked up as ‘mad’ with no evidence whatsoever. I have been working really hard behind the scenes for months now to build something that can step in when this kind of thing happens - and I will explain more soon. There has to be a way to stop this from happening. Women like Chloe are everywhere, in every country - being gaslit and medicated for no reason when they try to report concerns. Pathologisation is rife - and it must end. Psychiatric diagnosis and medication has no basis in science. She deserves compensation and to have all of this struck from her medical record immediately @LBC

Also, @bbcnickrobinson 's line of questioning was terrible. Would you refer to John Humphreys' or Jeremy Paxman's line of questioning as 'waspish'? And it wasn't that JM 'felt' shunned and abandoned by those who should have stood by her, it was that they DID shun & abandon her.

Jenni Murray knew what a woman was and the BBC disciplined her for expressing that truth. Harriet Harman did not defend her at the time and now says her views on what a woman was 'didn't take away' from her other work. How dare she. #r4today

It's kind of amazing that Harman is so weak that she won't even concede how brave Murray was on this today, after the Supreme Court judgment. But it speaks to how crap Labour is on women's rights today.

The NHS seriously implemented open-plan showers, zero curtains, zero partitions, multiple shower heads in one shared space... and then made them mixed-sex. Not one person thought women might object to naked men walking in and using them right beside them? This level of institutional delusion is beyond parody. How did basic safeguarding and common sense get completely erased?

@seanapriori @purplepotao16 There isn't a way to integrate men into women's spaces without destroying the integrity of those spaces as female only. Obviously.

@purplepotao16 @Debbbooo Of *course* if you let in XY-chromosomed persons, and define woman as an XX-chromosomed adult, it is not strictly a women's room anymore. But that's just an argument from definition and makes 0 progress towards finding a successful integrationist framework for transsexuals.

It's a thought terminating cliche to say "well, they're men, they should stay out". You can always subdivide a group more and tease out risk profiles from different subsets. You're making a conscious, ideologically hard-line choice to use the broadest group.

@purplepotao16 @Debbbooo It's not impossible at all. I am quite comfy with the idea of setting reasonable safeguards and regulation that would effectively trade off the reduced risks of obstructing transsexuals' social integration against any possible increased risk of accommodation.

Today prog has just told us we will hear a tribute to Jenni Murray from Harriet Harman. Might have been better to get someone to pay tribute who actually stuck up for her after she was isolated for her view that men should not be able to identify into women's spaces and sports.
