Was fortunate to present Michal and my research in the 9th Memory Studies Association (MSA) conference held in Charles University, Prague, Czech R. The paper was on Kolkata's cemeteries and Ghosts- tracing conflicting hauntologies of division and cosmopolitanism in Kolkata.

Spoke a bit about cultural landscapes, that are (re) created through memories, tracing it from the understandings of Geography. Adi Ganga became a dynamic entity-its existence questioned, dissected. Thanks to @TheBhawanipur and Geo dept. Shared space with Cospeaker @rangan_datta

New Methods of doing 'ethno-graphic' research leading to my contribution of understanding intersections between landscapes and art. A cartographic (un)mapping approach to understand how the Adi Ganga transitions. Thanks to @jenia_mukherjee @ShreyashiBhat16

@SritamaBarna few are brave enough to do so. Honesty is a quality that very few have. I have also started moving away from academia. Will share my journey if I can move away completely.

@SritamaBarna I have been following your threads. Very few are brave enough to talk about the struggles. Hoping something good comes your way. Take care

@ArchaeoNomad @immersivetrails Ignore them as bad noise. They just do not deserve any space even here. The kind of content people devour, comes as no surprise though.

I am told I should not host @immersivetrails' new #ThisDayInHistory series because "I look bad". I've been told this so many times in life that I am now numb. This is exactly what I want to challenge by being in front of the camera. A plump, dark-skinned, balding person in front of the camera. Take it, leave it, abuse me- it just shows who YOU are!

The international seminar on 'Mapping Memory' organised by Loreto College was such an insightful event where I could share my work on documenting the Bhabnipur locality. It was so good to be able to listen to all the discussions on memory.

@SritamaBarna I hear you. The situations are so similar here. Along with nepotism. For a job post of two in a reputed college in Kolkata, 360+ candidates applied and were called for an interview.

When will Delhi’s bureaucracy learn to respect their own remarkable heritage? Delhi's extraordinary history and architecture should be a matter of deep pride and should be used to attract international tourism not wantonly destroyed Centuries-old history on the line in Delhi—Sunehri Bagh to Shahi Masjid fear DDA bulldozers The DDA claims that Dhaula Kuan’s Shahi Masjid and the nearby qabristan and madrasa stand on a protected forest area. Now Delhi High Court will decide its fate. theprint.in/feature/around…
