My name is Bernard, living in Ireland. I have stage 4 stomach cancer. My medical consultants recommend Immunotherapy and chemotherapy. Despite best scientific and clinical evidence, my Irish healthcare insurer won't fund this. Am I alone?

I first tabled the Occupied Territories Bill in 2018. I knew it was the right thing to do then, and it's the right thing to do now. The horror unfolding in Gaza and the West Bank makes that absolutely clear - we need action, and I'm proud to see so many Irish people marching to demand it. It shouldn't have taken this long, but as of yesterday morning, we can now say that all political parties and Govt have finally come on board. We have worked hard to build support, and it is now unanimous. As @SimonHarrisTD and @MichealMartinTD told the Dáil: after the ICJ, it is a firm legal *obligation* on all states to ban trade with Israel's illegal settlements. No more theft of land without consequences. No more ifs or buts.Ireland can lead on this, and the EU must follow. There's no more time to waste. I can't control when we have an election, but I will do everything in my power to move this Bill forward beforehand. We have agreement that it must progress now, into Dáil Committee Stage, and I'll be working with Govt and opposition to make that happens urgently. That's what I've been doing since 2018 - and we will keep going until this Bill is law. Frances
