As New York’s first mom governor, I know the early years are the most expensive. That’s why in 2023, I expanded the child tax credit to kids under 4 for the first time. This year, I want to support parents even more – by tripling the maximum benefit for kids under 4 to $1,000.
New Yorkers have been hit hard with inflation, and higher prices meant higher than expected sales tax receipts. I believe that money belongs in New Yorkers’ wallets. That’s why I’m proposing the nation’s very first Inflation Refund.
