Obviously, I would never act on it, due to the fact that I’m a single father raising a son on my own (that’s 100% custody since he was a toddler, and $0 help, or child support, ever. FTR.) That being said I do genuinely think about the “off -switch” pretty much every day.

When I was 9, my uncle hung himself in my garage overnight. He didn’t even live with us. He left his house to come to my house to off himself while we were all asleep. Rude.

@DecrepitProwl I genuinely believe that if you don't have at least a tiny bit of suicidal thoughts you're missing a major part of the human experience. Either emotionally blunted or super rich and able to be removed from reality.

We will receive the sweet release of death one day. Until that day comes, we have a duty to provide for those closest to us. In our mind we romanticize the idea of leaving or being alone. The reality of being alone is much darker and much less glamorous. My wife and son go visit family for a month each year and despite getting to sleep in and chill all month, it’s the most depressing and dark month for me. And yet I still romanticize it and seem to forget how fucking lonely life can be when you’re on your own.
