@OliWebster3 @TRW_99 How many times do we have to explain that in any other sporting competition being disqualified for cheating is the norm. In every football competition cheating gets you disqualified
English

It really can’t be that hard to understand…
There was no rule, rule got brought in. Rule got broke.

Here’s the difference. Leeds get caught spying, £200k fine. Southampton get caught spying, potentially removing us from a £180m football match and further TV and sponsorship money. The punishment difference is so vast, I can’t believe it’s even being considered. #saintsfc

@JamesDolby @BenPalmer78 Fair. Good luck too 👊. Boro look decent under Hellberg
English

@BenPalmer78 Bro we don't expect you to be removed, you could be but we don't expect it. I'm looking forward to next season regardless, you got a lucky win on the night and we go again!
English

I cannot wait for the Middlesbrough meltdown when the independent panel don’t remove us from the Playoff final. It’s gonna be epic. #saintsfc
English

This is maybe the best sporting example to use, simple enough for a Southampton fan to understand. You cheat you get kicked out, it's irrelevant how effective your cheating was or whether you win or lose. The penalty is for cheating. Hard to understand whats so hard to understand

If you get caught doping, that’s it. That’s the offence. You get banned. It doesn’t matter if you only finished fifth and it didn’t affect the podium places. Some transgressions are fundamental.
English

@PlayzytStyle Or there’s no proof of club orders and he says he acted independently. He’d be sacked immediately. Probably find some well paid job out in Serbia or something…
English

You sent a kid on an iPhone.
Get better at not needing to cheat to win at football.
South Coast Scummers@southampton_fc
You caught a kid on an iPhone chill out lads. Get better at football.
English

@OrphansSC @Pt2537 Just imagine if there isn’t evidence that he was doing it for anybody other than himself and he says he acted alone to further his career.
English

@Pt2537 Ah yea it was Pysio Plumb in the training ground with the iPad ….
English

@andrewstevo39 @AlanMortimer9 Probably, on what we’ve seen, but still to be convicted. It’s just all the noise is coming from one side
English

@AlanMortimer9 I genuinely feel for some of your fans. You don't deserve it, but its the Staff who have let you down. Whoever gave that order for him to go needs sacking. The result for me means nothing now, its just the fact Southampton CHEATED and broke the rules.
English

@bbcburnsy You can be certain Southampton will be exercising their full legal rights if it goes nuclear with expulsion. Especially given Leeds is the only precedent, albeit a lesser example. The leap in sentence would be wholly appealable
English

@DannyTaylorDT @MarkDavies67 Can I out point out, out club has said nothing so far awaiting the proper proceedings. One side stoking the fire and the other is defending its interim position
English

@MarkDavies67 Their fans are insufferable, and seem to be completely incapable of any critical thinking. I just don’t know know how people can be bothered to continue the argument with them
English

Can’t be just me that’s really, really bored of the bickering on here between the two sets of fans?
My entire feed is dominated by it. The same arguments for days on end, surely it’s just time to relax and wait to see what the EFL do? #Boro
English

@LouSirr101 You’d have been better keeping quiet rather than trying to influence the outcome
English

@DeeCeeeszg It's not, it's designed for afterwards in the legal dispute should it get to that stage
English

I can't believe Southampton genuinely think we look bad for standing our ground.
Ruben@Rub3n01
We've painted ourselves in such a bad light these last few weeks as a club. But boro have also not come out of this looking good at all #Saintsfc #Boro
English

@LouSirr101 @PlayzytStyle You’ve given evidence. You’re just not a party to the claim, you’re the complainant
English

@PlayzytStyle @DeeCeeeszg They have, they've broken their own rules because they don't want to move the final, they're tolerating a lawsuit from us. Which was always the likely outcome.
That's what the statement was for. It's basically making it abundantly clear we wanted to give evidence
English

@LouSirr101 This will just be seen as a blatant attempt to influence the independent process and apply pressure. Works in Southampton’s favour if anything. There’s the first point of appeal if necessary
English

@DeeCeeeszg We are putting out a statement before the hearing so when we sue we have full public evidence that the EFL threw us under the bus and they can't argue they didn't know
