@japan_nobunaga Right... Tell me more about how Japanese people treat half Korean half Japanese people. This is a ridiculous post and not based on any reality. It isn't enough for Asians to be ethnic supremacists, they are literally surname supremacists and you are posting this garbage.

Honestly, racism is one of those things many Japanese people struggle to understand. If we see a white person, we think, "Oh, they're white." If we see a black person, we think, "Oh, they're black." If there were blue people, we'd probably think, "Oh, they're blue." And that's about as far as it goes. If someone is nice, we think they're nice. If someone is an asshole, we think they're an asshole. If we like them, we like them. If we don't, we don't. We grow up being told not to cause trouble, not to fight, and to get along with the people around us. Maybe that's why judging someone by their race feels so foreign to a lot of Japanese people. We're usually too busy judging people by whether they're good people or not.

@WorbsIntoWords So you believe in the distribution of losses, right? Employees no longer need to be paid if business doesn't make profits. I wonder how many workers will agree to this.

@polybugger @RockChartrand @ProudSocialist No, I am saying the opposite. I want less government power less taxes. I want gov to have as little power as possible so even if corrupt, it can't do anything. You keep wanting to fund and give more power to what you recognize as corrupt like some unstoppable moron.

New video breaking down why the U.S. is a dictatorship of capital where both parties serve capital not people. The system was designed to exploit us, not save or serve us. That is why if we want change we have to save ourselves by building power in our workplaces and communities.
Power to the People ☭🕊@ProudSocialist

There is no democracy for the people under capitalism. There is only democracy for the rich (Lenin). Elections under capitalism are simply a mechanism of control for the ruling class to keep the masses divided and trapped in the very system that’s rigged against us.

@4TaxFairness You tax rich people or corporations, they mostly pass that tax to consumers so taxing the rich is just indirectly taxing everyone. The only one that benefits is the government. The solution is to make it cheaper to do business and cheaper to create products and services.

And you? Was it easier to afford groceries or gas yesterday? "When the rich do well we all do well" is complete BS. We can never let them cut taxes for the rich and promise it will all "trickle down" ever again.

This is stunning, but not unexpected. Between 2020-2024, the wealth held by US billionaires increased by over 90%. Covid kicked off yet another record wealth transfer from the bottom to the top, & they’re still going. Welcome to The Last Hurrah.
Americans For Tax Fairness@4TaxFairness

BREAKING: Billionaires in America now own a record $9.2 TRILLION in wealth. That's up 32% over the last year. The country's GDP has only risen 6% in that time. Tax breaks for the wealthy don't trickle down to working people. They just create trillionaires.

@johnthomas5498 @william_tu12117 If these people were actually contributing and adding value to society, they would be able to have a mortgage and healthcare. Because of policies from leftist/liberals, regular people that once had those things can't now as prices skyrocketed.

@brucefenton So the narrative is Israel, instead of immediately going into Gaza and stacking bodies like any other country would have done, instead tolerated rockets being launched into their cities for decades and built out a rocket defense system instead and that is somehow genocide.

Is antisemitism increasing? Absolutely. Without question. 100% yes it is. Is this because people suddenly randomly decided to hate Jewish people around 2024? No. Antisemitism is rising is because 1) the majority of the USA and the world feel that Israel is committing war crimes and 2) both Israeli and Jewish leaders continually work to conflate the State of Israel with the religion of Judaism Against and again we are told that criticism of Israel the country is antisemitic and equated to criticism of Jewish people. Personally I don’t prefer to conflate the evil actions of Israeli politicians with an entire religion. But the overwhelming majority of both Israeli people and Jewish people DO conflate the two. The official spokespeople and most prominent leaders make a mission of conflating the two. So either Israel and Jewish people are one in the same - in which case antisemitism is because of the actions of Israel (I don’t prefer this option) OR the actions of politicians in Israel do NOT reflect the religion - in which case Jewish people have not often or loudly enough condemned Israel and those who seek to conflate it with their religion.

@johnthomas5498 @william_tu12117 Not to mention policies after policies that literally give people who had no business getting things like mortgages, college tuition loans, and healthcare. It sounds good in practice but all it does is massively increase prices making it unaffordable for everyone else.

@DeeLeeCircus @william_tu12117 It drives costs down. But the returns never went to wages. Real wages stagnated or fell. All the savings kept accruing to the already-wealthy. They only let money go to wages if they can't personally enrich themselves further because of taxes.

This is the reality of most modern marriages in 2026. The woman spends her 20s getting pumped and dumped by attractive men, then finds a nice beta male to clean up the mess and provide financial security. The brutal reality is that many women don’t marry the men they truly desire. They marry the men who offer stability. Years later, the marriage falls apart, the assets get divided, the house gets awarded to her, and she’s back on the market with more resources than she started with. Meanwhile, the husband is left wondering how he spent years building a life that disappeared in a courtroom.

@tonywestonuk @badguyty That wealth is actively working in the economy as investments and other instruments of the economy creating value and jobs. You take it out, it is no longer working in the economy and being used to chase after the same # of goods/services raising prices for everyone else.

I understand that wealth is not the same as cash, and that valuation matters. But that is an argument for designing a wealth tax carefully, not for pretending extreme wealth cannot be taxed at all. Most serious wealth-tax proposals include valuation rules, thresholds, exemptions, and anti-avoidance measures. Also, my broader point wasn’t that government spending depends mechanically on taxing billionaires first. It was the opposite: governments use “there’s no money” as a political excuse when the real question is resources, priorities, and power.

There’s something that we hear time and time again through TV and the media, but it simply isn’t true. The story goes like this: billionaires are sitting on so much money that the government is helpless. It has no choice but to let roads crumble, libraries close, and youth clubs disappear. The finger is pointed at billionaires: That’s where the money is. The government can’t do anything without it. But that isn’t true. Billionaires have far too much wealth and far too much power. They absolutely should be taxed far more than they are now. Bring on a wealth tax. But here’s the important bit: governments choose not to fix roads, fund libraries, or keep youth clubs open. That is a political choice. A government that issues its own fiat currency has the ability to buy anything for sale in its own unit of account: the pound. When it says, “We don’t have the money,” that is not the same as saying, “We don’t have the resources.” It is a choice about priorities. And they choose not to. Worse, they tell us they are helpless. They say there is no money. They suggest the billionaire “wealth creators” have it all, and that without taking more from them, nothing can be done. But look at Patriotic Millionaires. Many millionaires are openly asking to be taxed more. The government still does not want to do it. Why? Because if more money came in, if the deficit fell or the debt went down, the government would lose one of its favourite excuses: We don’t have the money. A wealth tax is needed. But a wealth tax would also expose the deeper lie. It would make it harder for politicians to hide behind the idea that they are powerless to do good things. So the public gets hit with the old one-two: - First, millionaires and billionaires hoard vast amounts of wealth. - Second, the government uses that as cover to cut services it simply does not want to support. We need to fix both problems. We need a wealth tax. But we also need to tell people the government is part of the sham. Because once the public is conditioned to believe that even an elected government cannot do the things people want, democracy itself starts to wither. Why vote at all if every party is supposedly trapped by the same financial constraints? Why vote Green, Reform, or anyone promising change, if we are told they will all eventually run into the same answer: Sorry, there’s no money? That belief is not accidental. It is politically useful. If people believe governments are powerless, they stop expecting anything from them. They stop demanding better. Eventually, many stop voting altogether. And that is exactly what the people benefiting from the current system want. The reason your library is closing is not that the country has “run out of money.” It is closing because someone chose not to fund it. And the reason they keep saying there is no alternative is because they do not want you to believe your vote could create one.
