@howardfineman Howard was a legend, but he wore it lightly. He was brilliant and kind. He was star who was always interested in other people and their ideas and opinions. He was a good man. Amy, just know Todd and I are thinking of you and your whole family and sending much love.

This is Howard’s wife, Amy Nathan. I am heartbroken to share my brilliant and extraordinary husband passed away late last night surrounded by those he loved most, his family. He valiantly battled pancreatic cancer for 2 years. He couldn’t have been adored more. The world was a better place because he lived in it and wrote about it.

In California, our 12 ports handle over 40% of U.S. container traffic annually. Yesterday, leaders from @cagobiz + @cagovernor joined forces w/@californiaports, led by our @deemyers, in Washington D.C. to advocate for federal funding for infrastructure and clean port equipment!

Last Friday, Director @deemyers was on hand to witness another incredible milestone in CA history as @NASA & @LockheedMartin Skunk Works rolled out the X-59, an experimental aircraft designed to solve one of the most persistent challenges of supersonic flight – the sonic boom.
