A helicopter flight from Lagos to Ogbomoso takes approximately 45 minutes. Even if the First Lady travelled by road to Ekiti, the convoy would have passed through Oyo State. Branching off to Ogbomoso, even if just for a symbolic “eye service” visit, would not have required significant time or effort.That aside, the President and the First Lady have been in Lagos since the Sallah holiday, yet they have not visited the affected communities in Oriire Local Government Area. Last week, they were also in Lagos for the primary election, but neither visited the affected communities nor sent any representative. This raises serious questions about the level of concern and priority the President places on the welfare of the people in the affected areas.

Omor i just woke up now and realised that to fill 50 litres of a Corolla car during President Obasanjo's regime cost ₦3,750. During Yar'Adua's time, it became ₦3,250. During Goodluck Jonathan's time, it was ₦4,350. During Buhari's regime, it was ₦11,900. Now under the current President Tinubu's regime, to fill 50 litres of a Corolla car is now ₦61,350, and you tell me this man is the hope Nigerians should have for a better future?
