Where is the rehabilitation plan? Where was the prior notice? Where is the compassion for the poor and vulnerable? Why must ordinary families lose their homes and livelihoods overnight? Why are those with the least forced to bear the heaviest burden of such inhumane policies? Behind every demolished structure lies a shattered livelihood, an uncertain future and a family pushed deeper into distress. Today, I stand as a victim of political violence and state sponsored terrorism unleashed by those who claim to be the guardians of nationalism. This is the reality of today’s BJP. I would rather face intimidation while defending democracy than enjoy comfort by surrendering my principles. Power is temporary. The will of the people is permanent. Strongly condemn the attack on MP @abhishekaitc. Violence and intimidation have no place in a democracy. When political opponents are targeted instead of being challenged through ideas and public debate, it raises serious questions about the state of democratic values in the country. The BJP must stop fostering a culture of hatred, fear and political vendetta. India's democracy is strengthened by dissent, not by attacks on opposition leaders.
