Today’s released USCIS memo led to debate that all H1B holders must now go back to India for Green Card processing. That is FALSE. The memo repeatedly says Adjustment of Status (I-485) is discretionary and “extraordinary,” BUT it also explicitly acknowledges dual intent categories like H1B. Key line: 
“applying for adjustment of status is not inconsistent with simultaneously maintaining nonimmigrant status in a category with dual intent.” Meaning: 
✅ Clean H1B holders with valid status are still among the strongest I-485 candidates 
✅ H1B → I-140 → I-485 path is NOT dead. 
✅ USCIS mainly widened scrutiny against violations, fraud, overstays, unauthorized work, parole misuse etc. This memo is more: 
“USCIS will scrutinize harder” NOT: 
“All H1Bs must leave USA for GC.” Read carefully before panic tweets.

A friend is going through his US visa process. H1B, O1, OPT, F1, B1, EB2, IR1, F2A etc are terms I am now familiar with, which makes NO sense for someone of his calibre and pedigree (tier 1 India and US schools). By doing this 🇺🇸 is actively discouraging skilled immigration. HUGE arbitrage opportunity for other developed nations to build this muscle up.

One common issue with personalization in all LLMs is how distracting memory seems to be for the models. A single question from 2 months ago about some topic can keep coming up as some kind of a deep interest of mine with undue mentions in perpetuity. Some kind of trying too hard.
