@lonseidman That extra loop of cable allows them to bring the splice case down to the splice trailer or van where they open do the fusion splice work in a controlled environment.

Question for fiber optic experts - when Comcast put in my Gigabit Pro service they ran slack storage along the run to the splice point. Is this to plan for future growth or a means of ensuring reliability should a wire get tugged by a falling tree?

@m2jr I noticed how much better I felt eating in Africa and realized there just wasn't as much processing. I'm, slowly, ridding the house of pretty much everything that has more than one ingredient (cooking from scratch). I feel 1000% better. You just shop the edges at the supermarket.
