Foreign nationals in Durban are pleading for a place of safety and temporary shelter after spending weeks camped outside the Department of Home Affairs offices. @Nokwazi_q spoke to Princess, who says the circumstances they are forced to live in are appalling especially as refugees and asylum seekers who are documented to be in the country. This week marks eight weeks since 450 documented foreigners were chased out of their homes and businesses and have been unable to reintegrate back into their communities. Tune in to #eNCA, channel #DStv403.

What exactly is a “documented” foreigner? We can’t be documenting people to come and run salons and grill gizzards on the streets here. The only people we should document are business investors who invest R5 million as per the laws and students who are coming to study at UNIVERSITY!

We don’t want them living in the townships or rural areas, they should integrate into gated communities instead. 🚮 Why would any foreigner choose to settle in poor neighborhoods? Anyone moving to a new country should be financially able to pay for their own basic services and secure decent housing. They shouldn’t add pressure to already struggling communities or compete with locals for limited resources. If they can’t afford that standard of living, then they simply have no business leaving their own country.

The so called clever Zimbabweans and their advocates are very interesting. On social media, podcasts and TV shows, NGOs, their voices in South Africa are the loudest. Yet when in comes to Zimbabwe their silence is like the graveyard. Their political, social, human and economic rights are being eroded and trampled upon every day while they continue being obsessed with South African affairs

We don't condone violence no matter the situation, brother brought wife to the UK gave her the best life, how many Zimbabweans in UK live in a £1.3 million house. She rewards brother by cheating & asking for divorce, & demanding everything he worked for including the house.

@real_sc9 So you kill the hand that feeds you. Those tourists were there legally and spending money in restaurant - soon that tourism economy will be compromised and they will run to SA for opportunities. That’s clever right? Any form of illegality must be condemned.

The harassment of South African tourists in Mozambique and neighbouring countries is unacceptable and must be condemned. Legally visiting South Africans should not be targeted. Our region depends on intra-African travel. Tourism unites us. Let’s protect it.

If other countries expect South Africa to become a play ground of illegal criminals, and are prepared to ban us from legally visiting their countries as tourists, I am afraid, let them feel free to exercise their rights. This is ridiculous.
Sir Lebona Cabonena@LCabonena

Shout out to these South African women. They were chased out in Mozambique restaurant simply because they are South Africans. They told the restaurant owner the painful truth "we are not job seekers or economic immigrants, we are visitors, tomorrow we are leaving your country unlike your brothers in South Africa" .

Sixty -60" is not a job. It’s survival with a uniform. Mr @HermanMashaba let’s call it what it is. A delivery scooter is not employment. It’s the gig economy. No UIF. No medical aid. No pension. No paid leave. No protection when you fall, when you crash, when you get robbed. Just you, your bike, and an app that can switch you off anytime. We cannot celebrate "job creation" when the job creates poverty. If a man works 12 hours a day but still can’t afford to get sick, that is not dignity. That is exploitation with better branding. South Africans deserve real jobs with real rights. Not gigs disguised as opportunity. #RealJobsNotGigs @Mzanziawake

Suggestion for unemployed South African youth: Go to areas with foreigners & volunteer to work with them. Especially car workshops, phone repair spaces, hair salons, furniture making, clothing printing & making. Working with foreigners is one of the best schools for skills.

🚨⚠️ OFFICIAL: Belgian Federation statement on Folarin Balogun red card case, saying they are “astonished”. “The Royal Belgian Football Association (RBFA) is astonished by FIFA's decision to declare suspended United States player Folarin Balogun eligible to play in the USA–Belgium match on Monday, 6 July at 5:00 p.m. (Seattle time). FIFA bases its decision on Article 27 of the FIFA Disciplinary Code. This provision states that the FIFA Disciplinary Committee may decide to suspend the enforcement of a previously imposed disciplinary sanction. However, Article 66.4 of the same FIFA Disciplinary Code clearly provides that a red card (sending-off) automatically results in a suspension for the team's next match, as has been the case for all previous red cards issued during this FIFA World Cup. Furthermore, and irrespective of the above, the decision is in direct contradiction with the provisions of the FIFA World Cup 2026 Competition Regulations, as set out in Article 10.5: "If a player or team official is sent off as a result of a direct or indirect red card (second caution), they will automatically be suspended from their team's subsequent match. In addition, further sanctions may be imposed.” The automatic nature of such a suspension was also explicitly reaffirmed in FIFA World Cup 2026 Circular No. 16, which was distributed to all participating member associations on 12 May 2026. The same rule is reiterated at every FIFA World Cup 2026 Match Coordination Meeting prior to each match and is included in all FIFA World Cup 2026 workshop presentations. ❗️In order to safeguard the legitimate rights of all participating teams and to protect the fundamental principles of fair play in our sport, both at this FIFA World Cup and at future editions of the tournament, the RBFA is investigating all potential options.”

😁 Soon, we will engage Checkers Sixty60 and other online delivery platforms to consider introducing this type of scooter for delivery services. As more South Africans enter the food delivery industry, we want to ensure they have access to a safe, reliable and efficient mode of transportation. 🇿🇦
