@TheDunkCentral Yeah, there’s nothing to this story except people wanting Steph to leave bc that’s what most stars do Also this is a paid partnership they have with Polymarket, so they’re just advertising There’s nothing to this

There seems to be some momentum behind Steph Curry potentially leaving the Warriors after they failed to land another star 👀 He now has a 7% chance of leaving the Warriors, according to Polymarket.

@TheWarriorsTalk Agreed, but the “once in a lifetime player” argument doesn’t seem to work on them… Especially if the reports are true that Lacob is already focusing on the post-Steph era

I do believe trading 3 firsts for Trey Murphy would mean the Warriors are getting fleeced to a degree, but it seems the GSW FO only makes trades in which they clearly get the better value on. Although that’s not a bad thing, I believe they should at times consider the predicament they’re in more thoughtfully. You have a once in a lifetime player, which you’ll surely never have again to this degree. With that said there should be some level of sacrifice of the future in order to capitalize on the now. Even more specifically since you have such a selfless, humble, and loyal superstar in Stephen Curry. It’s okay in some instances to maybe get the short end of the stick in a trade on face value if it means you’re getting significant short term gains in return. There’s intrinsic value there for the Warriors in a guy like Trey Murphy. Finally, just because you trade future picks doesn’t mean that you can trade for some back later down the line from other teams.

@SamQuinnCBS Checkbook titles are when you pay big to acquire stars For warriors, #5 highest-paid (wiseman) never played and #6 (JK) didn’t contribute So paying Steph/Klay/Wigg/Dray is a checkbook title? When 3 of 4 been there for a decade and the other wasn’t an all star when he came…

I don’t like giving owners credit for spending money, but Lacob spending the way he spent pushed them over the top for the 2022 title. That was as much of a checkbook championship as the NBA has ever seen. They literally changed the rules because of that team.

@heavyspoilers Numbers should be put in context An average movie will have 40-50% drop on 2nd weekend Even Infinity War, one of the highest grossing films of all time, had a 56% drop So the Odyssey being at 28% DOES deserve a “are you kidding me”… but for diff reasons than what OP intended

“Ring chasing” and “superteams” are so normalized now bc of LeBron and KD LeBron joins prime Maxey, Embiid, and Brown… after playing with Luka, AD, Kyrie, Love, Wade and Bosh… Steph plays with KD for only 3 years and ppl still complain about it to this day

@101214Champs @BaySean That’s certainly an opinion, yes The guy everyone discounted bc of his size… winning 4 titles and 2 MVPs… But more than hardware, he a 6’3” dude who took a game for tall people and changed the entire way the game is played…forever “Overrated” has no backing at this point

Biggest positive coming out of LeBron signing with the Sixers is the world seeing the hubris and incompetence of Warriors brass. They’ve wasted so many years of prime Steph. They’ll never have another needle-moving superstar as great and loyal as him.

@crazycracker666 @MicahhParsons11 If not 2022, then certainly the Paris Olympics ended this debate for good Not even worth entertaining KD and LeBron BOTH deferred to Steph in the closing minutes and Steph knocked out both Serbia and France Saying he’s Robin is now just empty words with no backing at all

Heard a LOT of Cavs media saying LeBron was definitely coming home. “It’s a done deal.” “He wouldn’t do this to us again.” “It was always Cleveland all along.” And… I guess their sources just weren’t reliable at all.

So LeBron really did want to chase that extra ring He was thinking about legacy then When he does hang it up and people compare him to Jordan, Bron wanted a 5th ring in the conversation So he joined the most stacked lineup possible to make it happen. Just wow.

Okay so all those people saying LeBron to the Cavs/Heat/Warriors was a “done deal” really had no idea what they were saying then…

If I had a nickel for every time Cobie Smulders played the love interest for the main character of a popular show whose wife passed away… I’d have 2 nickels. Which is not a lot but it’s weird that it happened twice.

I’m almost 100% positive that interns from the Cavs, Sixers and Warriors have graphics, YT video descriptions, captions etc. all lined up for a potential LeBron signing. They’ve probably had it in their drafts for over 2-3 weeks now.

@JoeVirayNBA Sorry to hear that man Maybe think about building on YouTube or TikTok if you haven’t yet Nowadays video is king, and it’s taken over what writing/journalism used to be (for better or worse). I’ve seen orgs hire video content creators who don’t have half your ball knowledge

@PolymarketHoops @ShamsCharania @flasportsbuzz So every other day there’s a new team in the lead or eliminated And it changes depending on the day Essentially they’re feeding the media info for a reason. Can’t wait for the documentary in 5 years for us to know what that reason is

@DiscussingFilm Overall enjoyed the movie but did think it was wild that there were men drowning at the bottom of the horse bc it was too close to the water Feel like they would’ve thought of that when they were deciding where to put the horse…
