V1 took Hylo from 0 to 1. Now V2 gives it the ability to go from 1 to 100. More assets, more predictable leverage, uncapped growth, and a new yield stream from borrowing rates.

can't fix it 100% but if you mix that with highly curated founders/projects, then there's a higher chance. as of now, the only project who kinda went from 0 to 1 was $ZINC and they abused the system by buying out existing holders at a 50% premium to ICO price. (a decent price would have been 150-200% to ICO price).

@DefiSolar @MetaDAOProject Believe me, it fixes nothing. No project has gone past the 0 to 1 phase. But if one ever does, you will see.

Tokens are so misaligned that the worst thing that can happen to the protocol whose token you hold is that it becomes extremely successful and mass adopted. If the protocol works, equity will be the asset that captures the business, while the token is left as a liquid proxy with no direct claim on the value being created. So even if you were right about the protocol, you still end up holding monopoly money. Until this gets fixed, the best trade will live in memes, or in the 0 to 1 phase of the protocol you are betting on, before adoption forces the value capture question.

@xydotdot @MetaDAOProject tokens launched on @MetaDAOProject have direct claims on the IP (social accounts, domain names, created software) + project's revenue. and the treasury is governed by token holders aswell. (outside of the monthly allocations)

@DefiSolar @MetaDAOProject MetaDAO fixes nothing tbh. If the token does not have a direct claim on the value created by the protocol, then the core problem remains.

This year DeFi was shaken by two big forces: (1) a few huge back to back hacks due to OpSec and (2) the overhang of AI models getting scary good especially at cybersecurity. I’ve always held this belief wrt open source code, but it also applies to systems - you can control the surface area of what is exposed - so you can just simply focus on shrinking it and reinforcing it. We’ve spent huge effort from the beginning of the year, pre DeFi hacks, across every domain of Kamino - cloud, frontend, OpSec, smart contracts, risk, monitoring. Break glass admins, dns monitoring, ai risk aware multisig watch, circuit breakers, internal dashboards. Multi level orchestration for bug finding - pipeline of AI agents looking for bugs, verifying, creating proof of concepts, building report. Lots of this is internal / invisible work, and generally I am strongly against publicly announcing it until it’s fully done. Just before that we went through a full market oracle hardening process that kept us resilient to temporary depegs and provider outages and at the same time through deprecating bad tokens. The work continues with things that are even more exciting and achievable due to the productivity boost that even our most ai-skeptical devs have observed. I have not lost faith in what DeFi should be, and it can be done right, but if done badly it can set us back years.

Founder blog looks like this and he’s currently raising at $3M FDV? ..for a prepaid cards startup at $400K ARR, with over $1M in revenue already? ..and on the only launchpad where the token is legally tied to the business outcome?
