Physically playing an instrument remains my greatest enabler - even with my keyboard skills bit rusty/limited Here is a clip from last Saturday's live-stream, where I just add a very simple basic electronic arpeggio idea to try in the piece being created. I can't really imagine doing it as quickly with a sequencer or arpeggiator, (speaking from experience) particularly considering the dimension of velocity, expression, and the variations I might choose as I feel my way through it. I'll never use AI to compose music, but I imagine even typing a prompt for it to "predict a pattern" would take longer and likely need much tweaking, and post editing to get it to approximate as I feel it. I'd much rather not surrender the most enjoyable aspect of the work. Plus I get the added benefit of bumps and mistakes along the way, which sometimes give me more opportunity to discover directions. Plus the tactile feedback in the express<->experience loop. Musical instruments, as a user interface, have a bandwidth for conveying human expressive nuance like nothing else - except perhaps the human voice.

Discord is beginning to implement Incode for age verification, a move that is already sparking serious privacy concerns among users. While Discord claims that Incode processes biometric data locally via on-device AI without permanent server-side logging, sharing sensitive IDs and selfies with any third-party vendor remains a massive red flag for many. Given Incode's controversial history with platforms like TikTok, where the vendor was heavily criticized for long retention periods and storing biometric data server-side, users who expect strict privacy are highly skeptical about handing over their biometrics, regardless of Discord's current technology claims.
