@timrosen35 Powerful stuff for the playing group. Interesting their very last CBA was FOS, LDU, Wardlaw + Xerri! Sheez off the half back line I think?

Been a long while since we had a genuine Clarko masterclass like that. GC absolutely cooked from Darwin late, but that’s some sorta win. Embarrassed last week. 7 goals down this week. That could be a club changing win.

Only way I can get Retschko’s score is if I do the following: Steene to fwd line, dev rob to mid, means i would have to field Mitch Edwards instead of getting McAndrews 75 Mitch Edwards + 106 vs McAndrew + Murdock? @MoreirasMagic @DTTALK @WarnieDT @Lemon_DT #AFLFantasy

He won't accept this is true of himself but there isn't a better writer in footy right now, independent or otherwise, than Mateo. Continuously sets the standard for the rest of us to try and meet.
One Percenters@onepercentas

List managers are footy's silent architects. Not many supporters know their names. But every side bears their influence. I had the pleasure of speaking with "Alex", an AFL list manager, about the decisions he makes and the trade-offs he encounters. onepercenters.net.au/p/beyond-the-d…

@gprof96 Reckon I’ve seen reports at least 6 of my premos didn’t hit the training grounds/running duties today. Could be complete carnage.

Appleby GC. Cumbria. Wild. 500 acres. Sheep everywhere. Fences around the greens. And the famous Bell hole. Par 3. The craziest short hole I’ve seen - but great fun. The green shaped like a bathtub- 10’ below the high ground in front. With $ could be one of England’s best.

@forthesignal @JMayer121 Usually can get around it by adding the single seat to your cart on a different device and then book the 4 you want. Tricks the system into thinking no single. Doesn’t work if it’s a queue though.

It’s kinda crazy that Amex preferred is literally “this ticket was $160 oh you have a gold or platinum card never mind this ticket is actually $334 you’re welcome”

No expert other than having gone through my own journey, but an actual psych on the books seems a bit over the top - a mental health co-ordinator absolutely, but surely there's no way one person is going to be a good fit for the entire list?
Mitch Cleary@cleary_mitch

As part of findings post the Elijah Hollands investigation, the AFL says it will mandate a full-time psychologist for every AFL and AFLW program - but that person isn’t mandated to be there on matchday at this point @7NewsMelbourne @7AFL

@lenphil29 Was my exact thought. Also, good luck finding 18 psychiatrists in Australia willing to forego full books at a private practice and go full time at a football club.

@lenphil29 Well-fitted not better fitted*. Don’t mean to say all psychologists are poor fits vs psychiatrists, in fact think there’s a much better diversity in psychologists that better empathise with their patients.

@lenphil29 I’d think there’s a pathway of club doc -> better fitting external psychiatrist that could be utilised. Would also assume players could nominate a psychologist that would appease AFL house.

@BenCaluzzi @whotfami120 He is in the protected area, which is surprisingly massive. It is hardly ever adjudicated as the law is written AND in this case I think Steele actually moves off his mark and plays on when he rolls towards the boundary. Pretty ordinary decision imo.

I’m a Pies fan but that 50m to give Sidebottom a point blank goal is rubbish. I hate it. You shouldn’t *have* to stand on the mark if you’re running past if you don’t want to. The stand rule is so bloody dumb. #AFL #AFLHawksPies

@TheBackPocketAU @mickobrien83 @grantdeac Definitely think there needs to be equalization amongst VIC clubs. Circulating marquee fixtures would be a great start. I get the league is never going to be perfectly equal, but don’t think we should be stripping away equalization measures that are working.

Academies currently only serve the interests of AFL House and 4 of the 18 (soon to be 19) competing teams. 14 teams are actively disadvantaged by them regardless of how much they "grow the game". The best solution would be for the AFL to fund and run the academies themselves.
