@TrickRubyVGC Japan has had some mega tournaments that are unlikely to be ever beaten in person due to venue limitations. Off the rip, The Lizardon Mega Battle had 21.5k players in the late 90's. Pretty sure there are a few that beat that one but don't remember the events by name

Okay so whats the biggest Pokemon TCG tournament ever? Does this VGC grassroots have potential to be the literal biggest Pokemon tournament of any game ever?

The issue with this discussion is that you're coming at it only looking at it like a lawyer while I'm coming at it whether it's right or wrong. I don't think we're going to agree because even if he signed all of his rights away knowingly for what seems like nothing, which I doubt, I don't think it's right for a company to do that to a creator, legal or not He's a good cautionary tale for creators I'll give you that but I think there should be at least a little empathy towards his situation

@DelinquentVideo @ibio75 How did he get tricked? Are you implying the company that owns the brand now is simply violating contractual obligations because neither side has made such a claim. New company even offered to remove NDA and post contract for all to see, he has ignored that request.

dafuqboom was kicked out of his own series by invisible narratives, and their response is this: that he can keep his name; they took away his instagram account, his youtube channel, even his discord account; dafuqboom loved his series and they took everything from him; this feels like a mockery of dafuqboom; I saw how he spent almost a week without sleeping working on the episodes, and he did this for a long time; these people have treated creators in the skibidi toilet community like trash; I include myself in this, I had an abusive contract where invisible narratives had all the benefits over my youtube channel; these people threaten creators with lawsuits and retaliation if you speak badly about them; I am outraged
skibidi@SkibidiOfficial

Today the YouTube channel officially became @skibidi. As mentioned in December, this change was done in partnership with Alexey and has been in the works for some time – the DaFuqBoom username is fully available for Alexey to use.

@StrainedNoodles @ibio75 "No one tricked him, no one lied to him" Looking into this for two seconds makes it pretty clear he was tricked. Either way it doesn't make it right which is entirely my point

@DelinquentVideo @ibio75 Which is impossible if you use an attorney who has your best interests in mind. No one tricked him, no one lied to him. It's all black and white, words mean mostly nothing. Which is what an attorney would have told him. No one but himself fucked himself.

You can trick someone. That's literally what you do. You use deceptive language, false promises, abusive NDAs , many of which won't hold up in court because they're illegal mind you, and threaten lawsuits because companies know creators largely don't have the resources to fight long legal battles Just because he signed a dumb contract doesn't mean a company should do this to him. Legal or not

@DelinquentVideo @ibio75 If you have no answer, that's okay. Just don't pretend you have an argument when anytime a question is asked to you your only response is, "Ha did you read what you said???" How do you do it? You don't. It's illegal. He signed a dumb contract that only hurt him.

"How do you 𝑻𝑹𝑰𝑪𝑲 someone into signing a contract without forcing them?" Read what you just said again. Are you being disingenuous on purpose? I could agree with you that he probably should have read his contracts a little more closely but you clearly don't care for creator rights at all which is the core of the discussion.

@DelinquentVideo @ibio75 How do you trick someone into signing a contract without forcing them, which would be illegal? He didn't do his research, he didn't take the contract and have his attorney review it. He got money hungry and FAFO.

@DelinquentVideo @ibio75 But, he wasn't abused. He was presented a contract, didn't give a fuck about reading it, signed it, and then cried when the money (the only thing he actually cared about) wasn't materializing like he dreamed.

@ibio75 Are we supposed to cry because the guy who made toilet animations was too stupid to hire an attorney to review contracts in his best interest? Really? Business lesson, the dude is an idiot and should teach people how to NOT be an idiot in this world.

@RotomTCG The argument for no break makes way more sense with regional level events for juniors, seniors, or parents that haven't secured an invite last season or for regions that have a lot of juniors/seniors but that's really it

Every junior/senior player I know maxes out locals each year in the first few months anyhow so I do not see the downside of giving people a break (especially when they are not releasing a new set to shake up the meta)

I don't really understand the frustration to be honest. They are giving us league cup equivalent events with exclusive prizing during the gap just without points. They give the option to earn these cool prizes and also not feel obligated to go to events during the summer.

@Whimsicast Gotcha that tracks. Seems fun. I wonder if adding the base-neo stuff, with a few obvious bans like Muk and Dark Vileplume, would be too much

Guys please do not bork your run at houston by playing non ASC pokepads. Its a competitive event for money, if you think someone wouldn't take a free win because you couldn't spend a couple extra bucks on the correct card then you trolling. I would 100% call a judge on my opponent on a win n in if they played a card that was explicitly not allowed.

Even so the machines are far from perfect. One example that really stuck out to me when I was using these machines it would frequently mix up cards if there were multiple prints of a card or if there were multiple cards with the same name and rarity in the same set. Additionally, most of these machines can't identify if a card is foil or non-foil. You typically either need to manually sort the foil cards out into a separate batch or buy a separate machine to do that for you. They're great for speeding up bulk sorting but the process needs manual review to check for small errors which even with a sharp eye is easy to mess up
