This show is incredible btw. It’s an actually realistic portrayal of the scrutiny OF creators go through when the majority are just doing it to survive. Majority of sex workers don’t set out with the goal of getting into sex work, but life circumstances result in them needing to find a way to stay afloat. Elle Fanning is a powerhouse in this and absolutely deserves all of the awards for her performance.

Bear is not immediately the villain of Obsession, as he simply couldn’t overcome his overwhelming insecurities for female affection.
However, there is a certain point (or two) where it’s made abundantly clear to him that this isn’t a game and something is extremely wrong. Yet he does nothing about it and continues to believe that he can make this situation work.
That’s when he officially becomes the villain because the situation completely spirals out of control.
