GM GM GM ! Finally FRIDAY ! Stow all your troubles under the seat securely, ease that chair back and spend some time with G-d. Ask Him for a Peaceful and Pleasant weekend for us ALL ! Have a wonderful Weekend and Thanks to all who participated in the Auction ! Best Corner On X. Happy Friday ! Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song. For the Lord is the great G-d, the great King above all gods. In his hand are the depths of the earth, and the mountain peaks belong to him. The sea is his, for he made it, and his hands formed the dry land. Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker; for he is our G-d and we are the people of his pasture, the flock under his care. Today, if only you would hear his voice, “Do not harden your hearts as you did at Meribah, as you did that day at Massah in the wilderness, where your ancestors tested me; they tried me, though they had seen what I did. For forty years I was angry with that generation; I said, ‘They are a people whose hearts go astray, and they have not known my ways.’ So I declared on oath in my anger, ‘They shall never enter my rest.’” - Psalm 95:1-11

Good morning! ☀️ ☕️ 🔴 🇺🇸 Sometimes I think about my ancestors and all they had to do to survive + all the components in the universe that had to happen for me to exist. Do you ever wonder about these things? Of course, God was there all along. But knowing how some of them lived 100s of years ago & what they pioneered, adventured, explored, and survived makes it all the more interesting. I sometimes wonder if our ancestors look down on us from heaven.. and wonder what they are thinking and what they would say to us if they could. I also think of a long time friend who passed on 12/19/23 during a logging accident. He loved nature & being outdoors as much as me & was the kind of person who I could hang out with, in complete silence, and it was never weird. He was like a brother to me. We ‘got’ each other. And though distance eventually prevented us from running around in the woods together like we used to, we still stayed in touch. When I announced I was going to move out here & live like this, so many told me I was crazy. And some even told me I wouldn’t make it. One person said I was irresponsible and that I’d die out here. None of them knew me like my old friend who encouraged me. He said I could do it.. to push myself beyond the uncomfortable and that I’d be fine. He was right. The attached video I took two days after his death. I was so sad. And I asked him to give me a sign he was okay. The tree shadow in the water reminded me of him standing with his hand in his pocket ..and as I stood there watching it, one single bird began chirping. There were no other sounds besides the water trickling & that single bird. And it made me smile. Maybe, another time, I’ll share some stories about this friend & ‘brother’. There are many. Knowing my dad has joined him & the rest of my ancestors makes it feel fresh, poignant, and more ‘real’ in ways I’ve not considered before. Makes me think of all the pieces of them that were passed down and/or shared. Bits I’ve taken into my heart & soul. In this way, I feel my ancestors with me. Right along with God & angels. I want to make them all proud. And I want to become the ancestor my descendants (by blood & otherwise) call upon. ⚡️ Weather in Southeast Oklahoma: Forecast won’t commit when it’s 40-50% chance of rain. We’ll see how it goes. Could just be swampy with lots of humidity.
