@RiceRiddler It's called buying singles...anyone that plays competitively in any TCG buys singles for the cards, not ripping booster boxes worth of packs.

This is apparently an unpopular take, but here goes: Pokémon should implement some kind of verified player allocation system that guarantees active players access to at least some product at retail price every release. At the end of the day, the TCGs are made to be played. Collecting is a huge part of the hobby, but the long-term health of the game still depends on players being able to reasonably access cards and sealed product without instantly running into scalper prices. Right now, products disappear immediately, preorders sell out in minutes, and sealed product often jumps far above MSRP before normal players even get a fair shot at buying it. And while prerelease events do help, they don’t fully solve the issue. Many players can’t attend due to work, distance, scheduling, or limited capacity, and even if they can, prerelease kits usually don’t provide enough product for players to truly feel rewarded or build decks for a new format. This also isn’t anti-collector or anti-investor. Rare cards having value is healthy for the hobby. But there’s a difference between natural demand and players consistently losing access to product at launch because supply gets instantly absorbed for resale. Players help keep Pokémon TCG alive long term through locals, tournaments, content creation, and community building. Pokémon should reserve at least some percentage of each release for people who actively play the game. Players shouldn’t feel punished for wanting to actually play a TCG.

So this depends on your final objective. If you are looking to score product for cheaper then 2x MSRP then yes, ACO (Autocheck outs) where the bots check out on your behalf works. However, this adds to the only make the process worst. Botting requires software to run the commands, IP addresses to imitate separate logins and if you run enough IPs, you'll need a server. All of that become very expensive. Most people have maybe 3-5 different addresses that they can ship to, limiting the physical amount they can purchase without getting flagged. ACOs are a way for people to use other people's info to help subsidize their cost. If they hit, its free money for them cause the overhead is already baked in. Walmart drops are a perfect example. It's bots vs more bots, the average person doing manually doesn't stand a chance when they are in 1 que while your typical bot is running 20-50 accounts/ques.

I’ve got a genuine question. Obviously the Pokémon card hobby would be 1000x more fun without scalpers. However, the reality is we unfortunately live in a world where every Pokémon card drop is bought up by scalpers, many of them who use bots. So here’s my question to the hobby’s veterans: Is it wrong for me to want to pay someone to bot every retail drop so I can buy Pokémon card product to rip and collect without paying a scalper 2x retail price to enjoy the hobby?

Her argument: the merger would cost consumers $1 billion a year. I saw this late but I'm curious what the manifest stated. The issue here is these are return items so odds are the seals have been opened and who knows what people have done with them. If they are opened and the packs are ripped, this is useless junk. Costco hasn't sold ascended heros yet so this is all left over Surging/Prismatic or Blackbolt/White Flare. It all depends on the manifest if it's sealed or opened.
