Insiders again are corrupting the system to avoid accountability. They already stripped the powers of the Auditor’s Office after I uncovered record amounts of waste. Now, they see us coming to flip their tables, so they’re rigging in their budgeting control past the next election. Miller-Meeks’ Big Budget Bill increases our utility costs and mortgage payments, cuts Medicaid, and ends ACA subsidies— all to pay for the largest tax cut in history for her billionaire friends. On top of all that, it explodes the national debt by $4 TRILLION, leaving Iowans to pay more taxes for interest on the debt.

I have been to 7 counties in the past 10 days. Everywhere I go, Iowans of all political parties are coming to me to say Rep. Miller-Meeks has let us down, and we need a change in our government. It is time for Democrats, Independents, and Republicans to join together to chart a new course for our state and country.
