Chinese students, workers, and other civilians who lost their lives had gathered to exercise their natural rights and demand democratic reforms and accountability for corruption. We remember their lives and honor their legacy. No amount of censorship can erase the past. Those who sacrificed to uphold their unalienable rights of free expression and peaceful assembly will be vindicated someday.

习近平在抓捕张又侠、刘振立之后，为稳定军心，开始向军队系统的“军二代”释放善意，并悄然推出一项针对开国将帅后代的安抚政策。过去，开国将帅及其配偶去世后，其生前享有的待遇随之取消，相关住房也被收回。这在一定程度上削弱了军队红色后代与中共体制之间原有的利益纽带和组织联系。
习近平推出的新政策规定，凡开国将帅的第二代乃至第三代后人，均可无偿获配一套住房。住房面积将依据将帅生前的级别有所区别，受益人无需承担任何费用。如有多名直系子女，由其自行协商分配；若无直系后代，旁系亲属亦可享受相关待遇。
这项新的赎买政策，很快将扩大至其他红二代家族。其目的在于安抚红色权贵阶层，减少内部不满声音，并为习近平谋求继续连任营造更有利的政治环境。
