I’m very confused about the number of people who think “property tax” is a sales tax on you home rather than taxes to pay for public services you use every day. “I paid off my home why do i still pay property taxes?!?!?” Oh, did you also stop using the roads and libraries and sidewalks and parks? New ballot initiative in Oregon called ‘Initiative Petition 28, the PEACE Act, will make it illegal to hunt, fish or raise animals, even if it’s on your own land
If passed it will be ILLEGAL to
- Hunt or fish for food (even on your own property or for sustenance
- Raise and slaughter animals like chickens, rabbits, pigs, cows, etc., for meat on your own land or farm.
- Engage in common livestock practices (e.g., breeding via artificial insemination)
- Control pests by killing them (in many cases)
If passes it will lead to investigations and prosecutions of farmers and individuals raising animals for food, including small scale or backyard operations with rabbits and chickens

Trump has authorized the removal of permits that were put in place to protect endangered species and now workers are allowed to kill these animals so they can drill the oceans for oil. There are only 50 of these whales left in the wild and they may all die because of this. They are trying to find loop holes in the endangered species act to do this and it will result in the deaths of innocent animals and may even lead to an entire species’ extinction.
Please contact your representatives and demand action be taken to stop this. These animals do not have a voice to advocate for themselves. We must be their voice and protect our planet. Please share this!!!!!!

There are 50 Rice's whales left alive on Earth. They live nowhere else but the Gulf of Mexico. The admin’s own scientists said *last year* oil & gas drilling would drive the species to extinction. Today, Trump's cabinet removed every protection standing between the oil industry and these animals’ deaths.
