What the “this is just pedo panic” crowd is trying to argue is that the very people who are in possession of the Epstein evidence, and who are protecting the Epstein network, would somehow release airtight proof implicating Epstein and Trump in abusing children. That doesn’t make logical sense. Why would people who are allegedly covering something up voluntarily expose themselves?
It reminds me of how, when you question the mainstream media, some people respond with “link?” meaning they expect you to provide a mainstream media source admitting that the mainstream media is lying. The standard of proof they demand can only be satisfied by the very institutions being questioned.
At a certain point, if someone doesn’t want to believe something, they will set the bar in a way that ensures they never have to. It becomes less about examining evidence and more about protecting a prior belief.
