Jeff Teague says if Joel Embiid had a healthy NBA career he would be the greatest center of all time: “Like, it’s not even a joke. It would be between him and Jokic. He would be at least one or two greatest center of all time. If he was full time healthy bro, it would be a joke.” (Via @club520podcast)

Given that 0 NBA playoff games are played without rest, I wanted to see how the league's elite teams are performing when they weren't unrested. Here are the straight-up and ATS records, and the average point spread differentials (thru March 10): Thunder 47-8 SU; 29-25-1 ATS (avg LD 2.61) Spurs 38-15 SU; 30-23 ATS (avg LD 2.55) Nuggets 30-21 SU; 27-23-1 ATS (avg LD 0.12) Pistons 38-16 SU; 28-26 ATS (avg LD 1.77) Celtics 36-18 SU; 31-23 ATS (avg LD 1.48) Knicks 36-19 SU; 30-25 ATS (avg LD 1.80)

Joe Namath had the best skill set of any QB in history, but he was 62-63-4 as a starter. John Madden himself said he was the toughest AND greatest QB he ever faced. However, Joe Namath is the ONLY QB in history to win a Super Bowl with a horrible team. The Jets were a woeful 11-24 (.314) when Joe sat the bench. If Joe played in 2026, with modern knee surgeries and soft defensive rules, he might have been the GOAT.

There was no need to "complete the act of the catch" in Super Bowl 12. Just touch the ball for a couple of seconds and it was six points.

Honest question from someone who has been a @SouthwestAir A-List Preferred flyer and loyalist for more than a decade: what’s the case for flying SWA now? With the abolition of open seating and “Bag Fly Free” SWA is now just another legacy carrier—albeit one without true first class, lounges, or meaningful international routes. The “new” Southwest offers all the downside but none of the upside of Delta/United/American. What’s SWA’s best argument why I shouldn’t park my butt at AA’s Admirals Club at DFW while waiting for my assigned seat from here on out? Persuade me.
The Wall Street Journal@WSJ

Southwest is laying open seating to rest. It’s a seismic shift for a business that long touted its egalitarian ways, writes columnist Dawn Gilbertson. on.wsj.com/4rgETtp

Another thing about the ridiculous Belichick @ProFootballHOF snub: only one coach is presented to the committee to vote for election every year. Belichick was the finalist chosen from a group of nine this year. Presuming he is the finalist again next year, each of these other names must wait an additional year (including Holmgren, Coughlin).

Call me crazy, but even without Bo Nix, I actually think the Broncos have a better chance to beat the Patriots with Jarrett Stidham than they did against the Bills. Not only do I think Stiddy is about to ball out, but I think Drake Maye is about to get a big ol’ welcome to the NFL moment in terms of facing this defense in his first career playoff game on the road.

1/3 For the first time since 2008, in my 19th overall trip to the US I don’t feel safe. For this reason, our coverage was limited/restricted/delayed for the most of the trip. Honestly, we were only 4 this year because others don’t want to travel here because of Trump…

@brianstelter @StarTribune “We must bow down to antifa and other left-wing terror organizations.” It’s certainly a take. But not one for a healthy republic with democratically passed laws.
