Dangerous fire weather conditions are expected tomorrow. Be sure to properly dispose of smoking materials and use extra caution with outdoor grills. Fires that start may spread rapidly and become difficult to extinguish.

In response to a heightened risk of a dangerous mosquito-borne illness EEE, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts will be spraying to control adult mosquitoes in Southern Worcester County, including Douglas, from 8/27-8/29. Tuesday, August 27 to Thursday August 29. (Dusk to 4:30am)

At approximately 12:00 today, the Douglas Fire and Police Departments received an emergency call for the report of two dogs through the ice on Bad Luck Pond. The dogs were successfully rescued and were returned home unharmed. #douglasma #watersafety
