@jhnmcgnly MON did the same with Bobo shortly before he left giving him a 4 year deal.Strachan came in that summer and didn't fancy bobo so he played mostly for the reserves for the next 4 seasons on a huge contract.

Liam Scales for four more years is a pretty major squad decision without a permanent manager in place. Not sure what the rush was given his previous contract ran until 2028.

@PaulJohnDykes If we were a properly run club you would think the new incoming manager would have sanctioned these moves.The current celtic board most likely not even got a short list of managers as yet.

There’s been a lot of discourse around these new deals, with many fans seeing them as lacking ambition. My take is that they are ‘needs must’ deals. With 6 loanees potentially returning to their parent clubs, Schmeichel & Oxlade-Chamberlain out of contract, the Captain weighing up his options, and another half-a-dozen players with interest / recent bids from elsewhere, we have a huge summer rebuild on our hands. It’s important to have a core group of settled players to ease that transition.

@PeterMsport Celtic had conversations with rangers before it became public.rangers obviously made it clear that if they want to hand balaclava wearing thugs tickets they will.Thats when celtic decided not for our stadium you won't.

Rangers are right to go to SPFL board to complain about Celtic’s attempt to dictate who attends the game in the away section. It would have been better to work quietly in the background together to try and restrict the rogue element of balaclava wearing troublemakers.

It’s all kicking off re whether the Union Bears should be let in at Celtic Park or not. But a general point as a rule any fan who attends a match in a balaclava or mask (over the age of 5)should not be allowed into any stadium… these people are there for no good.

I have seen some disgraceful tweets about Ryan Mullen after the game yesterday. Ryan is a top goalkeeper and gives everything on and off the pitch and by no means did he want to leave the pitch yesterday. Every player makes mistakes it comes with the job and I’ve made plenty. Unfortunately for Ryan yesterday he was unable to play on despite persevering at first. He does not deserve any of the negativity or accusations he is getting, it’s disgusting. Im so disappointed that majority is from our own fans. As a club we win together and lose together.

This is depressing, although unsurprising. Don’t want to change anything because it’s too late in the season?
