Two prompts can mean the same thing to a human and still look completely different to a cache. A timestamp, a reordered list, inconsistent whitespace, or conversation history placed too early can all reduce reuse and increase cost. Our Senior AI Engineer, Osama Ghazal (@osama96gh), shares four practical changes that helped Deriv improve our production AI agent's prompt-cache performance. @sflorimm ENABLE an aggressive rate limiting, cache every response in Redis, and slap a CDN in front. If the server still chokes after that, just change the dashboard units from “requests per second” to “requests per fortnight.” Problem officially solved with 3 minutes to spare.
